Trump again claims US has authority to 'take over' Gaza

US President Donald Trump insisted on Tuesday that the United States has the authority to "take" Gaza and that other countries in the region will absorb the Palestinians currently living there, speaking as he sat next to Jordan's King Abdullah II in his Oval Office.

"We're going to take Gaza. It's a war-torn area. We're going to take it. We're going to keep it. We're going to cherish it," Trump said in an offhanded, unrealistic way.

The remarks — made in an impromptu, unscheduled meeting with reporters at the start of a bilateral meeting between the two leaders — were a new form of pressure on King Abdullah II. The Jordanian king sought to hail Trump as a force for peace in the region while avoiding comment on an unfinished proposal that the US president has repeatedly floated in the past week.

Their meeting, attended by Jordan's Crown Prince Hussein, came a week after Trump announced, in the presence of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, that he wanted the United States to take control of Gaza and wanted Jordan and Egypt to resettle nearly two million Palestinians who would be displaced.

Both Jordan and Egypt rejected the idea when Trump raised it last week at a news conference with Netanyahu. But on Tuesday, his guest, King Abdullah, largely objected to Trump’s ideas when reporters asked him about the possibility of forcibly removing Gazans to allow the United States to take over the territory.

Rather than respond to Mr. Trump’s proposal, King Abdullah said the two countries should consult with other Arab countries, including Egypt.

"I think the point is how do we make this work in a way that works for everyone," King Abdullah said. "Clearly we have to look at the best interests of the United States, the people of the region, and particularly my people in Jordan."

The meeting with King Abdullah was a pivotal moment not only for one of America’s most important allies in the Middle East, but more broadly for the future of Gaza and the nearly two million Palestinians who call it home. The talks coincided with the possibility of a collapse of the ceasefire, after Trump said that starting at noon Saturday, “the gates of hell will open in Gaza if Hamas does not release the hostages.” Netanyahu warned Hamas (also on Tuesday) that if the hostages were not released by noon Saturday, the Israeli military would resume “heavy fighting.”

Hamas, in turn, accused Israel of breaking its promise to send hundreds of thousands of tents to Gaza, a claim that three Israeli officials and two mediators said was true. However, the Israeli military unit overseeing the aid delivery said Hamas’s allegations were “completely false.”

In recent days, Trump has stuck to his unlikely proposal to permanently resettle most of the Palestinians in Jordan and Egypt, while the United States would hand over control of the area to Israel and then redevelop it as a jobs and tourism hub. Trump has been privately talking about the idea of U.S. control of Gaza for several weeks, according to leaks from U.S. officials to the American press.

Officials in both Jordan and Egypt have rejected the forced displacement of Gazans, which experts say would amount to a violation of international law and ethnic cleansing. However, Trump ratcheted up pressure on Egypt and Jordan on the eve of King Abdullah’s visit when he said he might cut off aid to Jordan unless it accepted the Palestinians.

U.S. aid to Jordan, including military aid, is currently frozen as part of Trump’s freeze on foreign aid around the world. However, King Abdullah now faces the difficult task of trying to protect the more than $1.5 billion in foreign aid Jordan receives from the United States while also trying to persuade Trump to back off his demands for the mass expulsion of Palestinians.

The American media frequently repeats that more than half of Jordan’s 12 million people are of Palestinian origin. Jordan is already home to about 700,000 refugees, most of them Syrians who fled that country’s civil war. Analysts say the monarchy is concerned that accepting another two million refugees could inflame tensions between citizens of Palestinian origin and those who are not.

Last week, the Jordanian parliament introduced a bill that would ban the resettlement of Palestinians in the country.

According to what Al-Quds learned from a reliable source on Tuesday, King Abdullah warned Trump that his idea of resettlement would destabilize the Middle East, endanger peace between Jordan and Israel, and even threaten the stability of the kingdom.

Occupation forces withdraw from Far'a camp after 10 days of aggression

The Israeli occupation forces withdrew today, Wednesday, from Al-Far'a camp, south of Tubas, after a ten-day aggression.

During this aggression, the occupation caused the displacement of dozens of families from their homes in the camp towards the city of Tubas and the towns of Tamoun and Aqaba.

Over the past ten days, the camp has been suffering from a difficult humanitarian situation, after the occupation besieged the camp and closed all its main and secondary entrances, leaving hundreds of families without water or food supplies, in addition to a shortage of medicine, especially for those with chronic diseases.

This aggression, in which hundreds of soldiers, dozens of patrols, and a number of heavy bulldozers participated, resulted in great destruction of the infrastructure and citizens’ property, the bombing and removal of doors from a number of homes, and the demolition of parts of the Popular Committee building.

Local sources said that the occupation raided dozens of homes in the camp, conducted field investigations with their residents, and turned some of them into military barracks after forcing the residents to leave them. The number of families forced to leave the camp ranged between 200-250.

During this aggression, the occupation arrested about thirty young men from the camp, 22 of whom were later released.

The occupation forces had obstructed the work of the medical teams throughout the days of the aggression, and prevented them on more than one occasion from transporting patients from the camp, and raided their medical point in the Far’a camp.

Since this morning, citizens have begun to return to their homes in the camp and inspect them after the occupation withdrew from them.

King: Jordan remains committed to regional peace, security

King Abdullah II met with US President Donald Trump at the White House on Tuesday, holding what he described as a "constructive meeting" focused on strengthening the longstanding partnership between Jordan and the US. The discussions centered on regional stability, peace efforts, and Jordan’s unwavering stance on the Palestinian issue.

Jordan’s Commitment to Stability and Peace

During the meeting, King Abdullah reaffirmed his foremost commitment to Jordan, emphasizing its stability and the well-being of its people. He expressed appreciation for President Trump’s warm welcome and highlighted the continued importance of the US-Jordan partnership in promoting security and peace in the region.

Firm Stance Against Palestinian Displacement

A key focus of the discussions was the situation in Gaza and the West Bank. King Abdullah reiterated Jordan’s steadfast opposition to the displacement of Palestinians, calling it a "unified Arab position." He stressed that any reconstruction efforts in Gaza must prioritize addressing the dire humanitarian crisis while ensuring that Palestinians remain in their homeland.

Call for a Two-State Solution and U.S. Leadership

The King reaffirmed his belief that achieving a just and lasting peace based on the two-state solution is the only viable path to regional stability.

He urged strong US leadership in this regard, recognizing Trump’s role in securing the recent Gaza ceasefire. "President Trump is a man of peace," he stated, adding that it is now essential for the US and international stakeholders to ensure that the ceasefire holds.

Preventing Escalation in the West Bank

King Abdullah also underscored the urgency of preventing further escalation in the West Bank, warning of potential far-reaching consequences for the region. He stressed the need for immediate efforts to de-escalate tensions and avoid further deterioration of the situation.

Jordan’s Role in Pursuing Comprehensive Peace

Concluding his statement, King Abdullah affirmed Jordan’s ongoing commitment to working with international partners to achieve a just and comprehensive peace for all in the region. He emphasized that Jordan will continue to play an active role in diplomatic efforts aimed at securing long-term stability.

Hamas: We are committed to the ceasefire agreement and Israel has not fulfilled its pledges

Hamas confirmed on Tuesday its commitment to the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip and the prisoner exchange with Israel, noting that Tel Aviv is the one that did not fulfill its pledges and "bears responsibility for any complications or delays."

This came in a statement published by the movement on Telegram, in which it reiterated its "rejection of US President Donald Trump's statements regarding the displacement of our people from the Gaza Strip under the pretext of reconstruction."

The movement described Trump's statements as "racist and a call for ethnic cleansing, with the aim of liquidating the Palestinian cause and denying our people's established national rights."

Since January 25, Trump has been promoting a plan to displace Palestinians from Gaza to neighboring countries such as Egypt and Jordan, which was rejected by both countries, and was joined by other Arab countries and regional and international organizations.

Hamas added in its statement that "the plan to deport our people from Gaza will not succeed, and will be met with a unified Palestinian, Arab and Islamic position that rejects all displacement plans."

She added: "Our great people in Gaza have stood firm in the face of the bombing and aggression, and will remain steadfast on their land, and will thwart all plans for forced displacement and deportation."

She stressed that "what the occupation failed to achieve through aggression and massacres, it will not succeed in achieving through liquidation and displacement plans."

The movement pointed out that it is "committed to the ceasefire agreement that the occupation committed to, which was sponsored and guaranteed by the mediators Egypt, Qatar and the United States, and witnessed by the international community."

She stressed that "the occupation is the party that did not abide by its commitments, and it bears responsibility for any complications or delays."

On Monday, Trump threatened to open what he called the "gates of hell" and cancel the ceasefire agreement if all Israeli prisoners in Gaza were not released by 12:00 noon (10:00 GMT) next Saturday.

Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu sent warning signals to Hamas, saying in a televised speech on Tuesday after a four-hour cabinet meeting that he had instructed the army on Monday evening to mobilize forces inside and around the Gaza Strip.

He pointed out that "this move is ongoing at this time, and will be completed as soon as possible."

Netanyahu vowed that "if Hamas does not return our kidnapped soldiers by Saturday afternoon, the ceasefire will be ended, and the Israeli army will resume fighting at full force."

While Netanyahu did not specify the number of prisoners he was demanding Hamas release on Saturday, Israeli Army Radio quoted unnamed Israeli officials earlier on Tuesday evening as saying, "If Hamas releases 3 kidnapped persons on Saturday, the first phase of the agreement will continue."

On Monday, Abu Obeida, spokesman for the Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, announced the postponement of the handover of the Israeli prisoners scheduled to be released next Saturday until further notice, due to Tel Aviv’s violations of the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip.

UN: Rebuilding Gaza requires more than $53 billion

Reconstructing the Gaza Strip, which was devastated by the Israeli occupation's aggression on the Strip, requires more than $53 billion, including more than $20 billion in the first three years, a United Nations report released on Tuesday said.

UN Secretary-General António Guterres stated in the report, which was prepared at the request of the UN General Assembly on January 30, 2025, that “the amounts needed for recovery and reconstruction in the short, medium and long term are estimated at approximately $53.142 billion, of which $20.568 billion is needed in the first three years.”

The General Assembly had issued a resolution in December 2024 calling for an immediate and unconditional ceasefire in Gaza, and asked Guterres to provide an assessment of the needs of the Palestinian sector within two months.

The report explained that although it is not possible to conduct a full needs assessment, the rapid assessment provides an indication of the extent of needs in the context of recovery and reconstruction.

The report indicated that more than 60% of the housing in Gaza has been destroyed since October 2023, which makes the housing sector at the forefront of reconstruction needs at $15.2 billion, or about 30% of the total amount.

Other areas requiring financing include trade and industry ($6.9 billion), health ($6.9 billion), agriculture ($4.2 billion), social protection ($4.2 billion), transport ($2.9 billion), water and sanitation ($2.7 billion), and education ($2.6 billion).

The report indicated that the environmental sector will face high costs, estimated at about $1.9 billion, due to the large amount of rubble containing unexploded ordnance and other hazardous materials.

The United Nations estimates that the conflict has left more than 50 million tons of rubble, including human remains and hazardous materials such as asbestos.

Guterres also stressed that any reconstruction effort must be part of a broader political and security framework to be viable, stressing that Gaza must be an integral part of an independent, democratic, viable and sovereign Palestinian state.

He stressed the importance of the role of the Palestinian Authority in planning and implementing the recovery and reconstruction process.

The report comes as US President Donald Trump prepares to announce plans to take control of Gaza and redevelop it, sparking a backlash from Palestinians.

Saudi Arabia: We reject extremist Israeli statements regarding the displacement of Palestinians

Saudi Arabia affirmed, on Tuesday, its "categorical rejection of extremist Israeli statements" regarding the displacement of the Palestinian people from their land, and indicated that permanent peace (in the region) will not be achieved except by accepting the principle of peaceful coexistence through the two-state solution.

This came during a cabinet meeting chaired by Crown Prince and Prime Minister Prince Mohammed bin Salman, according to the official Saudi Press Agency.

According to the agency, the Saudi Council of Ministers discussed "current developments on the regional and international arenas."

He expressed "categorical rejection of the extremist Israeli statements regarding the displacement of the brotherly Palestinian people from their land", and stressed "the centrality of the Palestinian cause to Saudi Arabia".

He stressed that "lasting peace will not be achieved except by accepting the principle of peaceful coexistence through the two-state solution."

On Friday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said, “Saudi Arabia has vast areas and can establish a Palestinian state on them.”

This came in response to a question from the Israeli Channel 14 broadcaster regarding Riyadh’s insistence on establishing a Palestinian state in order to normalize relations with Tel Aviv, days after US President Donald Trump spoke about his country’s intention to seize the Gaza Strip and displace Palestinians from it, and that Saudi Arabia no longer stipulates the establishment of a Palestinian state for normalization with Israel.

Since January 25, Trump has been promoting a plan to displace the Palestinians of Gaza to neighboring countries such as Egypt and Jordan, which was rejected by both countries, and was joined by other Arab countries and regional and international organizations.

Saudi Arabia responded in two strongly worded statements from the Foreign Ministry rejecting the displacement. The first affirmed that “the Kingdom’s position on the establishment of a Palestinian state is a firm, steadfast and unwavering position, and this firm position is not subject to negotiation or outbidding,” and that “the Kingdom will not establish diplomatic relations with Israel without that.”

The second statement rejected Netanyahu's statements and considered them "extremist and occupying, and does not understand what the Palestinian land means to the Palestinian people."

Israeli occupation continues its aggression on Tulkarm and its two camps: 3 houses were blown up and another was burned amid forced displacement

Today, Tuesday, the Israeli occupation forces blew up three houses in Nour Shams camp, and burned another in Tulkarm camp, as their aggression against Tulkarm city and its two camps continues, amidst a field escalation that includes raiding homes and forcing their residents to leave them.

The occupation forces prevented ambulance crews from entering Nour Shams camp to respond to citizens’ appeals for help to leave, especially the elderly, the sick and the disabled, and forced them to stay at a distance.

On the third day of the aggression, Nour Shams camp witnessed a new wave of mass displacement of dozens of families by force, under threat and intimidation from the occupation, amidst the firing of live ammunition and the sound of explosions heard from time to time.

The displaced people from the camp were distributed to different places, according to what the occupation imposed on them, as families headed east towards the towns of Anabta and Kafr al-Labad, and others towards the suburbs of Dhnaba, Iktaba and the city, and the same to the quarry area adjacent to the camp, while the occupation forces arrested the citizen Mamoun Abdul Asmar after raiding his home in the camp.

The occupation bulldozers continued to bulldoze and destroy the infrastructure and properties in the various neighborhoods of the camp, starting from Jabal al-Nasr, al-Salihin, al-Manshiya, and al-Maslakh, reaching the internal neighborhoods, in addition to bulldozing Nablus Street along the entire length of the camp entrances and completely destroying it.

In Tulkarm camp, the occupation forces intensified their military presence and deployed infantry squads inside the camp’s alleys and empty houses, turning them into military barracks, amid heavy live fire. They also burned down a house belonging to the Al-Awfi family in the Hanoun Square neighborhood.

The occupation forces continued to seize additional homes and residential buildings around the camp, specifically in the northern and eastern neighborhoods, and turned them into military barracks and sniper positions. They also pursued citizens who tried to reach their homes in the Shuhada neighborhood, and shot them.

In the same context, the occupation forces were deployed throughout the day in the streets of Tulkarm city, specifically in the street of the Martyr Thabet Thabet Governmental Hospital, the Abu Safiya intersection in the eastern neighborhood and the vegetable market, and obstructed the movement of citizens and vehicles, stopped them, searched them, checked their ID cards, and severely beat a young man.

The occupation soldiers also raided shops and commercial complexes on Hospital Street, and investigated their owners on the ground.

Trump, while receiving the Jordanian King, confirms the seizure of Gaza and the annexation of the West Bank

US President Donald Trump said during his meeting with Jordan's King Abdullah at the White House on Tuesday that there must be a piece of land in Jordan for Palestinians who will be displaced under his plan to take control of the Gaza Strip and permanently relocate its population. He met with Jordan's King Abdullah II amid widespread opposition to his plan among Washington's Arab allies, including Jordan.

Shortly after the king and crown prince arrived at the White House, journalists were allowed into the Oval Office where the US president signalled he would not budge from his plan for Washington to take control of the Gaza Strip, relocate the bewildered residents and reshape the war-torn territory.

"We give Jordan and Egypt a lot of money, but we're not going to make any threats about it," Trump added, stressing, "We're going to take control of Gaza." Asked what authority he has over Gaza, he said, "Under American authority."

Trump added that "the development of Gaza, which will happen a long time from now, will bring many jobs to the region," noting that he had "quick discussions with the King of Jordan now and later we will have longer discussions."

"We will ensure that there will be peace in the Gaza Strip and there will be development on the widest scale in the region," he said.

Asked about Israel annexing the occupied West Bank, Trump said, "It will work," without elaborating.

In response, King Abdullah II said, "I have to do what is in the best interest of my country."

King Abdullah did not express support for what Trump is saying, but he said that Egypt is preparing a plan on how to work with the United States regarding Trump's plan to control Gaza.

"As I said, we will be in Saudi Arabia to discuss how we will work with the president and with the United States... Let's wait for the Egyptians to come and present the plan to the president," he added.

He pointed out that his country will receive 2,000 sick children from Gaza.

The meeting between Abdullah II and Trump comes in the wake of the US President's controversial statements, which were met with a wave of widespread international condemnation and denunciation, regarding the seizure of the Gaza Strip and the displacement of Palestinians from it.

Since January 25, Trump has been proposing to displace the Palestinians of Gaza to neighboring countries, such as Jordan and Egypt, which was rejected by both countries, and was joined by other Arab countries and regional and international organizations.

Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs calls on the Security Council to overcome the state of impotence and take urgent action to stop the crimes of occupation and annexation

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates called on the UN Security Council to overcome its state of impotence and take urgent action to compel Israel, as an occupying power, to stop its aggression and colonization, and to take the necessary practical measures to implement the resolutions of international legitimacy that guarantee the end of the Israeli occupation of the land of the State of Palestine, in accordance with the advisory opinion of the International Court of Justice.

The Ministry condemned in the strongest terms, in a press statement today, Tuesday, the unilateral and illegal measures of the occupation, foremost of which are the crimes of deepening and expanding colonization in the land of the State of Palestine, such as the construction of a colonial road in the village of Yasuf, east of Salfit, and the construction of a new colony on the lands of Battir in Bethlehem, and the seizure of approximately 720 dunums for this purpose, as well as the crimes of legalizing "random" colonial outposts, and allocating huge sums of money to connect the colonies to each other, which leads to the isolation of Jerusalem from its Palestinian surroundings, and the transformation of Palestinian communities into "cantons", and the dismemberment of the occupied West Bank through more than 800 military checkpoints and iron gates that enable the occupation to control and control the movement of Palestinian citizens, and impose more collective punishment on them.

She said that these crimes are accompanied by a noticeable increase in the crime of demolishing homes and facilities throughout the West Bank, including Jerusalem, in the most heinous forms of ethnic cleansing and displacement.

The Ministry stressed that it is following up on the crimes of colonialism in all its forms with all countries and components of the international community, especially the UN Security Council and Human Rights, and with the countries that signed the Geneva Conventions, holding the international community responsible for its failure to stop the occupation’s aggression that is escalating day after day, and the resulting far-reaching threats to the conflict arena and the region.

Two Israeli ministers call for starting a plan to displace Palestinians from Gaza

Israeli ministers Shlomo Karhi and Bezalel Smotrich called on Tuesday to "immediately begin" implementing the plan to displace Palestinians from the Gaza Strip.

Communications Minister Karhi posted a tweet on the X platform, calling for the urgent implementation of the plan to displace Palestinians from Gaza, and to work to stop aid and cut off electricity and water.

On February 4, US President Donald Trump revealed, in a press conference with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House, his country’s intention to seize Gaza after displacing the Palestinians from it.

Since January 25, Trump has been promoting a plan to displace the Palestinians of Gaza to neighboring countries, such as Jordan and Egypt, which was rejected by both countries, and was joined by other Arab countries and regional and international organizations.

The Israeli minister claimed that "Hamas believes that it can gamble with the lives of our hostages, which is a grave mistake. We will not allow any more games."

Kari called for "the use of excessive and brutal force against Hamas elements until the detainees are returned," as he put it.

For his part, Finance Minister Smotrich expressed his support for Trump's statements regarding the displacement of Palestinians from the Gaza Strip.

"President Trump has determined that Israel can set a clear deadline for all detainees to return without exception by next Saturday, or the gates of hell will open," Smotrich said, calling for what he claimed was "the actual opening of the gates of hell" in the Gaza Strip.

The minister called for cutting off electricity and water, as well as halting humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip, claiming that "Israel has full support from President Trump to do so."

Smotrich's remarks came in a speech he delivered on Tuesday during the 10th annual conference of the Haredi Institute for Strategy and Policy.

He added during the conference: "The way to preserve the detainees is to inform Hamas that if something happens to any of the kidnapped, we will declare on the same day Israeli sovereignty over 5 percent of the Gaza Strip, and so on, 5 percent after another... We have full support for that."

In this context, the former commander of the army's operations division, Major General Israel Ziv, said that the statements of Israeli officials were what prompted Hamas to postpone the release of the detainees.

"Our statements push Hamas to make such an announcement, and this is the irresponsibility I am talking about," Ziv added in statements to the local radio station 103 FM.

He pointed out that "the talks should have begun the day after the return of the detainees to discuss the next stages of the agreement with Hamas," and continued: "After the return of the detainees, we can do whatever we want," he said.

On Monday, the Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, announced the postponement of handing over the prisoners scheduled to be released on Saturday until Tel Aviv commits to implementing the agreement and compensating for the past weeks retroactively.

On January 19, a ceasefire agreement began in the Gaza Strip and a prisoner exchange between Hamas and Israel. It includes three stages, each lasting 42 days. During the first, negotiations will be held to start the second and third, with the mediation of Egypt and Qatar and the support of the United States.

Despite the ceasefire, the Israeli army fires almost daily through its drones at Palestinians in different areas of the Strip, killing and wounding people, including children and the elderly.

The head of the government media office in the Gaza Strip, Salama Maarouf, confirmed on Friday that despite the passage of 20 days since the agreement in the Gaza Strip, the catastrophic humanitarian conditions in the Strip are still deteriorating dangerously due to the Israeli procrastination in implementing the agreement.

Israeli occupation releases two Palestinian bookstore owners after arresting them on Sunday

The Israeli occupation police released, on Tuesday, two owners of a Palestinian bookstore in the occupied city of East Jerusalem, after arresting them last Sunday on the pretext of “disturbing the peace.”

According to local sources, the Israeli authorities released the Palestinians Ahmed and Mahmoud Mona, owners of the “Scientific Library” branch on Salah al-Din Street in East Jerusalem, who were arrested following a raid on the library on Sunday.

The sources explained that they were released on condition of paying a fine (the amount of which was not immediately clear), after being detained in Al-Maskobiyeh prison in West Jerusalem.

She added that the Israeli decision to impose house arrest on them and ban them from the library is still in effect.

On Monday, the Israeli authorities extended their detention until Tuesday, when they will appear before the Magistrate's Court, on the pretext of "disturbing the peace."

The Hebrew newspaper Haaretz reported on Monday that the Israeli police raided the two branches of the library in East Jerusalem on Sunday, confiscated books from them, and arrested their owners on charges of selling publications that included “incitement to violence.”

While the Israeli human rights organization "B'Tselem" said, via the "X" platform on Monday, that the reason for the arrest is due to "selling books in Arabic, at a time when Israel continues its war on the entire Palestinian people, including the persecution and arrest of intellectuals."

A Jerusalem Magistrate's Court judge issued a search warrant at the request of the police, but the police found no evidence of incitement, so they charged the two bookstore owners with another charge, "disturbing the peace."

Jordan and Egypt Warn Gaza Displacement Will Solidify Hamas Presence Along Israel's Borders

Haaretz

Haaretz

Opinion Writer

By Yaniv Kubovich

Senior Israeli security officials say both countries warned of the impact of Trump's Gaza transfer plan; They added that Hamas leaders are preparing for a leadership struggle against newly released prisoners, potentially leading to more extreme actions

Egyptian and Jordanian officials have raised concerns that a large-scale displacement of Gaza's Palestinians into their countries could lead to the establishment of terrorist strongholds along their borders with Israel.

According to senior security officials, both countries have warned of potential consequences stemming from U.S. President Donald Trump's proposal to expel Gaza's population to their lands.

Egyptian security officials fear that an influx of hundreds of thousands of Hamas operatives into the Sinai region through the Rafah crossing could destabilize the border and threaten the peace agreement between Egypt and Israel.

In Jordan, authorities stress that the kingdom's political climate is already sensitive, especially following the significant gains made by the Muslim Brotherhood in the parliamentary elections last September.

Jordanian security officials warn that the forced relocation of approximately one million Gazans into the country could allow Hamas and other militant groups to establish a presence along Israel's eastern border – from Eilat in the south to the southern tip of Lake Kinneret in the north of Israel.

Jordan has also detected Iranian attempts to infiltrate its territory, aiming to undermine the kingdom's stability and influence. Officials believe that after losing its stronghold in Syria and Lebanon, the Shiite axis now views Jordan as the next potential proxy through which it can expand its regional foothold.

According to Israeli security officials, Hamas has managed to maintain its grip on power in Gaza, partly by controlling the distribution of humanitarian aid which reinforced residents' dependence on the militant organization.

Over the past few months, as the Israeli military focused its operations in northern Gaza, Hamas reasserted its authority in the central and southern regions, restoring a semblance of normalcy for the local population.-

One of Hamas' first actions was to reinstate local government services to address immediate civilian needs. For example, shortly after the cease-fire took effect, the Rafah municipality was tasked with clearing debris and repairing roads using engineering equipment provided to them.

At the same time, Hamas began rehabilitating hospitals, reopening medical wards to treat the large number of wounded, and resuming school operations to prevent social unrest among displaced youth.

Hamas has also been pressuring northern Gaza residents to return to their homes despite the absence of infrastructure and basic living conditions. The organization believes that repopulating the north would complicate any future Israeli military operations should the cease-fire agreement collapse.

Estimates suggest that around 100,000 Gazans have already returned north, though many later turned back due to harsh conditions. Some settled in areas of Gaza City untouched by recent military action, while others refused to leave the displacement camps and temporary shelters out of fear of renewed fighting.

Hamas leaders were reportedly unaware of the full scale of destruction in northern Gaza and are now pressing mediating countries to expedite the supply of essential reconstruction materials. As part of the cease-fire and hostage-release agreement, various nations committed to sending engineering equipment, housing units, and tents to Gaza.

Israel has agreed to facilitate these shipments, but so far, only a fraction of the promised supplies – estimated at a few thousand units – has arrived, falling far short of actual needs.

From a military standpoint, Israeli security officials were not surprised by Hamas' conduct during the hostage negotiations, having anticipated that the group would seek to portray itself as an organized governing entity.

Sources suggests that Hamas initiated its rebuilding efforts early in the war, with operatives embedding themselves among civilians in humanitarian safe zones. However, despite these efforts, experts believe it will take Hamas a significant amount of time to restore its military capabilities.

Meanwhile, internal tensions within Hamas are brewing over leadership in Gaza. Senior security officials note that some of the recently released prisoners from the hostage deal hold greater influence within the organization than Yahya Sinwar did at the time of his release in the 2011 Gilad Shalit prisoner exchange.

These figures reportedly view Mohammed Sinwar's leadership as illegitimate, as he was not elected, and they are expected to challenge his authority. Israeli security agencies are closely monitoring whether this power struggle will lead the current Hamas leadership to adopt more extreme measures against both Israel and Gaza's civilian population.

The Director General of the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza, Dr. Munir Al-Barsh, announced that the number of dead who have risen as a result of direct targeting by the occupation has reached 92 martyrs, in addition to 822 citizens being injured since the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip came into effect on January 19 of this year.

Dr. Al-Barash pointed out that there were two other dead who were killed due to the remnants of the occupation.

The number of dead who died of their wounds rose to 24, bringing the total number of dead to 118 since the start of the truce.

Al-Barash also explained that the health teams had recovered 641 dead, including about 197 dead who are still unidentified.

Local sources reported that the occupation forces arrested the two young men, Omar Adel Maraaba and Jihad Jamal Adwan, while they were near the main northern entrance to the town of Azzun, east of Qalqilya, and they were taken to an unknown location.

In the same context, the Israeli occupation forces today obstructed the movement of citizens east of Qalqilya Governorate, where they set up a military checkpoint at the entrance to the villages of Hajjah and Al-Funduq to the east, stopped citizens’ vehicles, and checked their personal IDs, which caused a traffic crisis in the area.

Israeli occupation obstructs the exit of patients and wounded people from the Rafah crossing

The Ministry of Health in Gaza confirmed on Tuesday that Israel is deliberately obstructing the exit of Palestinian patients and wounded from the Strip through the Rafah border crossing with Egypt.

This came in a statement the day after Hamas announced that Israel had violated the ceasefire agreement in effect since January 19, on four points, including delaying the entry of medicines and “requirements for the restoration of hospitals and the health sector.”

The ministry said in the statement, "The Israeli occupation is deliberately obstructing the travel of medical cases through the Rafah land crossing."

She added, "The number of cases that will leave today is 53, which is less than the number required to be allowed to leave, which is 150 patients and wounded."

She said that Israel had refused to allow a 16-year-old cancer patient to travel, and he was scheduled to leave on the list of those allowed today.

On Monday evening, Hamas said in a statement that Israel had also violated the agreement by "delaying the return of the displaced to the northern Gaza Strip, targeting our people with shelling and shooting, killing many of them, and obstructing the entry of shelter requirements such as tents, prefabricated houses, fuel, and rubble-removal mechanisms to retrieve bodies."

Hamas' statement came after its armed wing, the Qassam Brigades, announced that it would freeze the release of Israeli prisoners scheduled for release next Saturday, until Tel Aviv abides by all terms of the agreement.

On an almost daily basis, the Israeli army violates the agreement by firing its drones at the people of Gaza, resulting in deaths and injuries, including children and the elderly.

This situation is confirmed by Israeli reports that Benjamin Netanyahu's government is preventing the return of life to Gaza in order to force the Palestinians to leave, which is consistent with US President Donald Trump's plan to seize Gaza and remove the Palestinians from it.

On Monday evening, Trump threatened to cancel the ceasefire agreement if Hamas did not release all Israeli prisoners by Saturday afternoon.

The Israeli war on Gaza left about 160,000 dead and wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 14,000 missing.

UNRWA: The occupation displaced 40,000 citizens from the camps in the northern West Bank

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) said on Tuesday that Israel has displaced about 40,000 residents from refugee camps in the northern West Bank, stressing that the forced displacement of Palestinian communities is escalating at an alarming rate.

She added in a statement that the displacement operations began in Jenin camp and continued for about three weeks, and are currently the longest in the West Bank since the Second Intifada, and have extended to Tulkarm, Nur Shams and Al-Far'a camps.

She explained that thousands of Palestinian families have been forcibly displaced since the occupation forces began carrying out large-scale operations in the West Bank in mid-2023, stressing that the repeated and destructive operations have made the northern refugee camps uninhabitable, which has led to the population being trapped in a periodic displacement.

UNRWA indicated that more than 60% of displacement in 2024 was the result of occupation incursions.

She said that forced displacement in the West Bank is the result of an increasingly dangerous and coercive environment, where the use of air strikes, armored bulldozers, controlled explosions and advanced weapons by the occupation has become common and is an extension of the war in Gaza, where at least 38 air strikes were carried out in 2025 alone.

The agency stressed the need to protect civilians and civilian infrastructure at all times, and that collective punishment is absolutely unacceptable, explaining that Jenin camp is now empty of residents, which evokes memories of the second intifada, and this scene is set to be repeated in other camps.

UNRWA pointed out that this situation puts the lives of refugees and its staff who serve them at grave risk.

She stressed that the United Nations and its partners continue to support Palestinians affected by the ongoing aggression in Jenin, which leads to further displacement, as the World Food Programme and its partners provided cash assistance to about 1,200 families.

Malaysia, Turkey pledge to mobilize ASEAN to rebuild Gaza

Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim pledged to mobilize ASEAN countries to rebuild the Gaza Strip, while Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan called on ASEAN countries to provide humanitarian aid to Gaza.

This pledge came during a press conference between Ibrahim and Erdogan on Tuesday in Kuala Lumpur, where Anwar Ibrahim denounced Israel's failure to abide by the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip and its continued aggressive policies against the Palestinians. He added, "We will work to mobilize ASEAN countries to rebuild Gaza."

Ibrahim said in condemnation: “How can a ceasefire agreement be advanced in the Palestinian Gaza Strip without the withdrawal of the colonizer!” He added: “How can this be possible while Israel’s aggressive and expansionist policies continue!”

In a related context, the Prime Minister explained that Ankara has shown a leadership role in the Gaza issue, and that he does not know of a country that has provided as much humanitarian aid as Türkiye has.

He pledged to work to mobilize the countries of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) to rebuild the Gaza Strip, which was destroyed by Israel during the genocide it committed for more than 15 months.

He stated that Japan seeks to establish a fund to rebuild Gaza, and that his country has been offered to participate in the presidency of the Gaza reconstruction initiative.

Ibrahim welcomed Erdogan's visit to Malaysia, saying: "Today we are hosting a leader who defends justice and human rights, and we are fortunate to have that."

He pointed out that there is a high-level strategic cooperation council between the two countries, and that Malaysia and Turkey signed various memoranda of understanding before the meeting.

He stressed that they are determined to reach the highest level of cooperation between the two countries.

He explained that he discussed with Erdogan the need to increase trade relations and investments between the two countries from 5 billion dollars to about 10 billion.

He pointed out that the goal is to develop and enhance cooperation in relations between ASEAN and Turkey.

For his part, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan stressed that Israel is not fulfilling its obligations related to the ceasefire agreement in the Palestinian Gaza Strip.

Erdogan explained that Israel must end its occupation of the Palestinian territories and compensate for the damage it has caused there.

He stressed the need to establish an independent, sovereign and geographically integrated Palestinian state on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.

Erdogan called on ASEAN member states to cooperate to provide the necessary humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip.

He stressed that Türkiye follows Malaysia's position towards Gaza and Palestine with great appreciation.

Regarding in-kind aid, Erdogan stressed that Türkiye has so far sent more than 100 ships to Palestine, and that these efforts are continuing without interruption.

ASEAN is an economic organization that includes 10 countries: Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei, Cambodia, Myanmar, Vietnam, and Laos. It was founded on August 8, 1967 in the Thai capital, Bangkok.

"The Wall and Settlements": Israeli occupation began building a colony on Bethlehem lands

Head of the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, Mu'ayyad Shaaban, said that the Israeli occupation state has begun building a new colony on the lands of the Bethlehem Governorate, in the area between the towns of Husan and Al-Khader, specifically on the lands of the village of Battir. This colony is called "Nahal Helitz."

He added in a statement issued by the Authority on Tuesday that the establishment of this colony was approved in response to the wave of recognition of the State of Palestine by countries around the world in June of last year, and that the occupying state, after the decision to establish this colony, took a series of steps, the first of which was to allocate a total of 120 dunams for the benefit of the new colony, then followed it with the decision of the Blue Line team, which subjected another 600 dunams for its establishment, to begin the actual construction process in it these days.

Shaaban warned that the establishment of this colony aims to further separate the governorates of Bethlehem and Jerusalem, in an attempt to gradually implement the Greater Jerusalem plan, which threatens the entire geographical continuity between the northern and southern West Bank.

He pointed out that the occupation has taken extremely dangerous steps in recent days that would strengthen colonial settlement and fragment Palestinian geography.

In a related context, Shaaban stated that the occupation authorities issued 6 military orders yesterday allocating lands for pastoral colonization, adding that the occupying state is keen to strengthen agricultural and pastoral colonization not only by encouraging the establishment and creation of this type of outposts, but also by protecting them by allocating areas of up to more than 16 thousand dunams by the official institution in the occupying state.

He pointed out that these orders are deliberately preventing Palestinian shepherds from accessing these lands and granting settlers full authority to use them, adding that the first military order issued yesterday targeted the lands of the Salfit and Ramallah governorates, specifically the villages of Deir Ballut and Al-Lubban Al-Gharbi, allocating a total of 2,600 dunums for settlers’ grazing, which are areas that were previously declared as “state lands,” while the second, third and fourth orders targeted the Ramallah governorate, specifically the village of Kafr Malik, allocating an area of 1,505 dunums, and the lands of Deir Jarir with two orders targeting a total of 4,900 dunums for the same purpose. The fifth order targeted the lands of Ghor Al-Far’a in the Jericho governorate, targeting a total of 426 dunums, while the sixth order targeted a total of 8,700 dunums of lands in the city of Tubas.

Shaaban explained that this step, and the risks it entails, comes within the framework of what has been repeatedly announced about the occupation government’s intention to work on settling the status of “legalizing” 70 agricultural and pastoral colonial outposts, within the coalition agreements between the parties that make up the occupation government, and that the step of allocating lands for grazing will lead to the consolidation of these outposts by granting them vast areas, to become a center and a starting point for carrying out more terrorist attacks against citizens and their property, adding that the number of pastoral outposts reached a total of 137 agricultural and pastoral outposts by the end of 2024, preventing citizens from reaching a total of 489 thousand dunams.

He added that the occupying state is continuing to impose facts on the Palestinian geography that will tear apart the Palestinian land and impose a system of isolated enclaves in order to eliminate the possibility of establishing a Palestinian state in the future. Shaaban stressed that what the occupying state is doing on the ground in terms of serious violations of the most basic human rights rules does not only attack the capabilities of the Palestinian people and their inalienable rights, but also persists in its attack on the decisions of the international community, the resolutions of the United Nations and the declared legal positions in this regard.

Frankly speaking... about the scenarios of "the next day"

Hani Al Masry

Hani Al Masry

Opinion Writer

After the provocative statements of US President Donald Trump, which despite their contradictions and changes, tried to make the impossible and what is considered a war crime - the displacement of Palestinians - a matter of debate, and raised the level of danger to an unprecedented level, it is necessary to discuss the scenarios of the day after, as things are no longer after these statements as they were before them.

If the goal is to displace the Palestinians, eliminate Hamas, have American control over the Gaza Strip, and decide on sovereignty over the West Bank after four weeks, as Trump stated, then this makes the next day a foregone conclusion, and this calls for mobilization to resist and overthrow him.

Before these statements, Netanyahu's position was to postpone the decision on the issue of the next day until after the war was resolved, given the Israeli differences and the differences between the Israeli government and the Biden administration, but on the basis of rejecting the continuation of Hamas's authority, and rejecting the return of President Mahmoud Abbas's authority, but after Trump's victory, the issue became resolved.

But the facts on the ground are stronger and more eloquent than the fantasies imagined in the imaginary reality, and they appear through the adherence of millions of Palestinians to their presence on their homeland or to their right to return to it from exile and displacement.

It is a stark fact that the Israeli occupying forces withdrew last Sunday from the Martyrs' Axis, called Netzarim, which Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stressed that he could not abandon.

It is a fact that almost the entire world rejected Trump’s statements and called for confronting them, because Palestine is for the Palestinians, Egypt is for the Egyptians, Jordan is for the Jordanians, and Saudi Arabia is for the Saudis. If there is a place for the Palestinians to go, it is to their homes and lands from which they were displaced. The strange and surprising thing is that Trump, who wants to return immigrants to the United States to their countries, wants to deport the original owners of the country to other countries. His new promise is like the Balfour Declaration, in which he gave what he did not own to what he did not deserve.

There are developments and changes that have led to the cancellation or reduction of the possibility of scenarios that were proposed, such as the occupation and settlement of the Gaza Strip, and have been replaced by other scenarios, such as displacement. The following are the expected scenarios:

Scenario 1: The collapse of the ceasefire agreement after the implementation of the first phase:

This scenario is reinforced by the blatant violations of the agreement. Whoever wants to displace the Palestinians and eliminate the resistance, as Netanyahu declares day and night with full support from Trump, does not want to reach a withdrawal of Israeli forces, a sustainable cessation of war, and reconstruction. Therefore, the start of negotiations on the second phase was postponed, and Netanyahu gave instructions to the Israeli negotiating delegation to seek an extension of the first phase or to agree on a transitional phase in which the exchange operations would continue, and not to negotiate the second phase, amid information circulated by Israeli media and political sources that Trump gave Netanyahu the green light to resume fighting in two cases: the first is if Hamas does not implement its obligations in the first phase, which is very unlikely, and the other is if the negotiations do not reach an agreement on the second phase, which is very likely in light of changing what was agreed upon and adding new conditions.

Whoever wants to complete the achievement of the war’s goals, displace the Palestinians, and impose sovereignty over the West Bank or parts of it, will be keen to prevent any opportunity to reach an agreement. If an agreement is reached regarding the second stage, it will be impossible to reach the third stage. Whoever wants to displace the Palestinians cannot facilitate or agree to the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip.

The resumption of war does not necessarily have to take the form of a war of extermination, but it can take the form of a siege, focused and precise military operations, control of the flow of humanitarian aid, and preventing serious movement towards reconstruction, in an attempt to achieve the goals that were not achieved by military war through politics and economics.

In this scenario, the status quo in the Gaza Strip remains as it is, leading to gradual forced migration, and Hamas’s continued control of the Gaza Strip is used as a pretext to continue the war and prevent relief and reconstruction.

Scenario 2: Implementing the Beijing Declaration:

This scenario is based on implementing the Beijing Agreement, especially with regard to forming a national unity government with a national reference, but this scenario is very unlikely, because the war of extermination did not lead to ending the division, and thus in the same context, unity will not be achieved at a time when displacement has become an option, and it must be dealt with very seriously as long as it is proposed by the President of the United States, the most powerful country in the world.

What prevents the implementation of this scenario is that the official Palestinian leadership does not believe in partnership, and does not want to pay the price for it after the Al-Aqsa flood, after the head of Hamas became wanted, and in light of the continued and increasing possibility of resuming the fighting, and with the proposal to displace the residents of Gaza and the lack of clarity about the possibility of rebuilding it in light of the absence of pledges and commitments to that effect.

This scenario could be strengthened if it is accompanied by a political program whose essence is ending the occupation and independence, arming oneself with international law and UN resolutions, agreeing on a long-term truce that will last for years, and being prepared to integrate the military weapons of the resistance factions into a national army subject to the legitimate national leadership in the event that the occupation ends and the establishment of the Palestinian state is embodied. The martyr Yahya Sinwar and other Hamas leaders have previously announced Hamas’s readiness to integrate its military wing into a national army in the event that the Palestinian state is embodied.

The third scenario: agreement on the government of Mohamed Mustafa taking over the management of the sector:

This scenario is based on the Palestinian government headed by Mohammed Mustafa taking over the administration of the Gaza Strip after the war, as is or after amending it, or forming a new government that translates the statements of Hamas leaders that they do not want to participate in the government to save Gaza, and goes so far as to demand that President Abbas re-establish his control over the Strip in order to remove the pretexts from the hands of the occupying state, the United States, and numerous regional and international parties.

I heard directly from a prominent resistance leader that he suggested to Hamas that it agree to hand over the Gaza Strip to the Authority to prove that it does not want the Authority and is keen to save the Strip. If the Authority agrees, that is a good thing, and if it does not agree, as expected, it will bear responsibility before the people and history.

This scenario was unlikely in light of the Israeli government’s rejection of the continuation of Hamas’s rule and the return of the Authority, and it became even more unlikely in light of the displacement proposal, and the fact that the Authority is weak, lost, and waiting.

It is true that Hamas can and perhaps should not rule under the current circumstances, but no one else can rule without agreement with it. It is strongly present and cannot be ignored by anyone.

In this context, I also believe that if Hamas took the initiative to ask the Authority to come to govern Gaza or responded to an initiative in this regard, the Authority would most likely not respond to that, and it would refuse by setting new old conditions, such as one authority, one weapon, and one decision; that is, it would demand the disarmament of the resistance underground and above ground, as the president has repeatedly demanded, but there is no harm in trying until the Authority is put before its responsibilities and the pretexts are removed from the hands of the occupying state and others.

Fourth scenario: forming an administrative committee according to the Egyptian or American vision:

This scenario includes the formation of a committee to manage the sector that is linked to the authority and maintains a degree of independence from it, but derives its legitimacy from it. In this scenario, Egypt and the authority have a greater role than the Biden administration’s vision, as the committee would be truly independent of the authority, which is required to renew itself as a condition for taking over the Gaza Strip in the future, and would be armed with multiple Arab and international forces, including American forces. This scenario is further from being realized than it was during the Biden era, especially after the displacement proposal was raised, and it perpetuates the division and separation of the West Bank from the Strip and opens the door to guardianship and alternatives.

Scenario Five, Displacement:

This scenario derives its strength from the fact that the Gaza Strip has become an uninhabitable area, and if a rescue, recovery and reconstruction process is not initiated without waiting for American and Israeli approval, with an Arab-Islamic initiative supported by supporters of the Palestinian cause throughout the world, there will be a large or gradual displacement using the sea and air with the assistance and facilitation of the Israeli government.

That is, forced displacement is a possible scenario, although it is unlikely, but it could take the form of gradual displacement by facilitating the migration of Palestinians to countries other than Jordan and Egypt.

This scenario includes the possibility of returning settlement to Gaza, as adopted by the far-right Israeli parties, or building a tourist area, according to Trump’s proposal to buy the Strip and the possibility of other parties participating with him.

Scenario 6: Holding Palestinian elections:

This scenario is based on holding elections in which the Palestinian people choose their representatives and express their will, and the winner of the elections is the one who rules. Such a scenario is preferred but unlikely to happen under the circumstances experienced by the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, at least for a period of two to three years if the situation stabilizes in a certain way.

This scenario is rejected by Israel, the United States, and local and regional parties who fear the victory of candidates from the resistance factions and parties hostile to colonial and Zionist plans.

Scenario Seven: Forming a National Front for Change:

This scenario is based on forming a national democratic front that includes all the elements and forces calling for reform, renewal and change, without waiting for the official leadership to respond and open the door for their joining. This scenario is good, but it was delayed a lot, perhaps more than necessary, and it had a greater opportunity in previous years, especially since the decision to cancel the elections in 2021. It is faced with interest groups spread across the factions and influenced by competing regional situations and programs, and by the tendencies of dominance and exclusivity among the large factions that seek to impose the control and dominance of a faction in a way that distances or reduces the role of other factions and groups.

The starting point is a deep and bold review of previous experiences based on the trial of policies and forms of struggle, and the initiation of a comprehensive and continuous national dialogue until lessons and morals are drawn to prevent the reproduction of mistakes and sins, and to crystallize a comprehensive vision based on them, which will be the basis for setting goals and strategies capable of achieving them.

Although it is unlikely that unity will be achieved or that Palestinian consensus will be reached to confront the current dangers, there is a glimmer of hope (the unlikely black swan scenario is unlikely, but if it happens, it will have a major impact) that the Arab summit will rise to the challenge and take practical decisions to rebuild the Gaza Strip and impose unity on the Palestinian factions, as the Arab countries see that their stability, national security and sovereignty are threatened by the extremist Israeli policy that Trump supports and outbids.

American isolation...an opportunity to build a counter-force that imposes its will

 Dr. Fawzi Ali Al-Samhouri

Dr. Fawzi Ali Al-Samhouri

Opinion Writer

America has never witnessed international political isolation on both the official and popular levels as it is currently witnessing, especially due to its leadership, through its agent, the artificial Israeli entity, waging a war of extermination and ethnic cleansing against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, and at a less brutal pace in the West Bank during the past sixteen months, and its brazen announcement of its plan to uproot the Palestinian people from their historic homeland, starting with the Gaza Strip, through the dirtiest forced displacement operation under penalty of death for anyone who refuses to liquidate the Palestinian cause by depriving the Palestinian people of their basic rights guaranteed internationally to freedom, independence, and self-determination, and the repercussions of that on the possibility of threatening Jordanian and Egyptian national security, the first line of defense for Arab national security in its comprehensive concept.

The American political isolation, the manifestations of which we witness through the decisions issued by the international community supporting the rights of the Palestinian people, and denouncing and rejecting Israeli crimes and violations represented by the decisions of the General Assembly and the Security Council, had it not been for the veto that prevents their approval, and by the International Court of Justice and the International Criminal Court, and the Human Rights Council, and by international human rights organizations and bodies, and by the peoples who have risen up in their countries across the world, including America and Europe, despite its military and economic power and strength, is an indication and a sign that America is going through the first stage of the stages of collapse and decline of American influence on the global stage, even over allied countries such as the European Union countries, which President Trump leads arrogantly, and which is represented by the international political isolation resulting from a number of factors, including:

First: The mentality of subjugation to countries.

Second: Direct and indirect robbery of the world’s wealth.

Third: The United Nations employs its charter, objectives and resolutions to serve its interests without regard to the interests, security and stability of other parties, states and peoples.

Fourth: The hateful duality in dealing with international resolutions and their contradictory interpretations of international laws, such as the right to self-defense, for example.

Fifth: Using or threatening to use military force to impose its policy and achieve its goals.

Sixth: Its threat to international peace and security by flouting international law, and its support and empowerment of rogue states and entities by all means of military, political and legal force, and enabling them to escape accountability and punishment by using the veto, contrary to the philosophy and justifications of its legitimacy, as is the case in justifying and supporting the continuation of the Israeli military occupation of the territories of the occupied and internationally recognized Palestinian state and the Syrian Golan Heights on the one hand, and its support for war crimes, crimes of genocide and ethnic cleansing, and against humanity, and its continued perpetration of brutality that has no parallel in modern history by the terrorist colonial entity, Israel, under the pretext of self-defense, contrary to Article 51 of the United Nations Charter.

Seventh: Withdrawing or threatening to withdraw from international bodies and institutions and stopping the fulfillment of their financial and moral obligations, as happened with the Human Rights Council and UNRWA in blatant defiance of the international community, and evading its obligations and duties as a permanent member of the Security Council, thereby sending a threatening message to the rest of the international organizations and bodies that express condemnation, denunciation and rejection of the crimes and policies of the aggressive and expansionist Israeli colonial entity or of American policy in commitment and implementation of its systems and goals.

Eighth: Using the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund as a tool to pressure the majority of member states of the United Nations General Assembly to force them to comply with its decisions or to stop their relations with major countries such as Russia and China, the other competing global pole.

Ninth: Undermining the principles of justice and equality before international law, also stipulated in the United Nations Charter, by targeting the International Court of Justice and the International Criminal Court, and imposing sanctions on their judges and legal and administrative bodies, and even threatening countries committed to upholding, respecting and respecting international law and justice without duplicity and selectivity.

The American encroachment and arrogance in dealing with the majority of the countries of the world and its exclusion of the international will from the path of implementing international resolutions requires the formation of a counter-force that imposes its interests and will, otherwise the majority of the member states of the General Assembly and their peoples will remain victims of American arrogance in particular, and of any brutal force in general. The Palestinian issue and the continued Israeli colonial occupation of the lands of the Palestinian state recognized by 149 countries, and what the Palestinian people have been exposed to for 77 years of war crimes and crimes against humanity in the context of a war of genocide and ethnic cleansing are only an example of what may befall the peoples of Third World countries according to the American and European classification.

The counter-force should be formed from all countries that believe in upholding and embracing the principles of freedom, justice and equality, upholding the power of right and rejecting the logic of the right of force, by confronting the American policy that was clearly evident in President Trump’s public statements about annexing the lands of countries, forcibly displacing the Palestinian people and rejecting the establishment of an independent Palestinian state, depriving the Palestinian people of freedom, independence and self-determination guaranteed by international law, in violation of the United Nations Charter and its goals of establishing international peace and security.

The required counter-force has two ways to achieve its goals: either amending the United Nations Charter, breaking the monopoly of executive powers exclusively vested in the permanent member states of the Security Council, and abolishing the accompanying veto right, or collectively withdrawing from the General Assembly and forming a new international organization that works to embody justice, equality, and human rights as a reality, not a slogan.

International isolation of Israel, freezing its membership in the General Assembly and all international bodies and institutions, and boycotting American interests officially and popularly is the beginning.

This is not a dream, but rather requires will, and the will of the people is invincible and will prevail, God willing.
