Israel prevents farmers from harvesting olives and forces them to leave their lands in Salfit

Today, Wednesday, Israeli occupation forces prevented farmers in the town of Kafr al-Dik, west of Salfit, from picking olives, forced them to leave their lands, and threatened to seize their agricultural equipment.

Local sources reported that Israeli soldiers stormed the “Al-Khala” area, west of the town, adjacent to the “Beduel” colony, which was built on citizens’ lands. They prevented the farmers from continuing to pick olives, threatened them with seizing their equipment, and forced them to leave the area at gunpoint.

It is noteworthy that the town of Kafr al-Dik, especially the western side of it, is exposed on a daily basis to harassment by occupation soldiers and attacks by settlers, which prevents them from harvesting the olive trees that extend over a number of threatened dunams in the town, as is the case with most of the villages and towns of Salfit Governorate, which suffer from terrorism. Settlers and soldiers and their attacks on olive pickers since the beginning of the season.
