Israel arrests 55 Palestinians in West Bank in one day, amongst leaders of the Hamas movement.

The Palestinian Prisoners’ Club revealed, on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, that Israel arrested 55 Palestinians in the West Bank in one day, including former representatives and leaders of the Hamas movement, in light of an arrest campaign launched by the Israeli occupation in the West Bank, in conjunction with Operation “Flood.” Al-Aqsa" launched by the Palestinian resistance against the occupation, in response to the increasing violations by the occupation against the Palestinians.


Amani Sahrna, media official at the Palestinian Club, said that “the occupation forces arrested at least 55 citizens, from cities and towns in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem,” and reported that “the arrests were distributed in all governorates of the West Bank, and among those detained were former representatives in the Legislative Council.” The Palestinian Parliament and leaders of the Hamas movement.


She also indicated that among those detained was former Speaker of the Legislative Council Aziz Dweik.
