A young Palestinian killed in confrontations with Israeli army in Beit Ummar, north of Hebron

The Ministry of Health announced the death of the young man, Ahmed Sharaf Khalaf Awad (20 years old), as a result of wounds he sustained in confrontations in the town of Beit Ummar, north of Hebron.

The Israeli occupation forces attacked the mourners of the martyr Montaser Abdel Hamid Zaqeq (31 years old), who died after being critically wounded by live Israeli occupation bullets in the head, during confrontations that the town witnessed earlier.

The occupation forces tried to prevent thousands of citizens from reaching the cemetery to participate in the funeral, amid the outbreak of confrontations during which they fired live bullets, rubber-coated metal bullets, and poisonous gas towards the citizens, causing two young men to be injured by live bullets, one of which was described as serious in the head, and dozens to suffer from suffocation, including journalists.

It was later announced that the young man, Awad, died from his critical wounds.
