Israel admin. taking revenge attack on detainees' movement

These days, the Israeli attack on the captive movement is witnessing an unprecedented escalation with the aim of taking revenge, undermining their steadfastness, and creating a state of instability among their ranks, in addition to the campaigns of repression against them and the operations of abuse that have prolonged and continue to extend to everyone within the policy of the current Israeli government, which is considered one of the most extremist, hateful, and racist governments against all. What is Palestinian, especially against the captive movement, which is considered a progressive vanguard in the struggle for our people to obtain all their inalienable national rights, foremost of which is the right of return, self-determination, and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital after sweeping the occupation from Palestinian land.

Therefore, we see this attack against the prisoners affecting all of their achievements that they achieved through great sacrifices, on the altar of which many prisoners and leaders were martyred, in addition to the deterioration of the health conditions of many of them, especially during the hunger strikes, which are the last and most effective weapon in the prisoner movement’s quiver, which led to the injury of many of them. Health diseases as a result of this, as well as medical negligence.

To prevent the stability of the prisoner movement, as well as to prevent the unity of its ranks in the face of the occupation’s arbitrariness and arrogance against it, the occupation prison administrations have in recent days carried out transfers among the ranks of prisoners from one prison to another.

These movements, which affected leaders within the prisoner movement, aim to thwart the prisoner movement’s threats by taking combative steps to prevent the extremist Israeli Minister of National Security, Ben Gvir, from implementing his decisions against the prisoner movement, some of which have not yet been implemented for fear of a reaction within the ranks of the prisoner movement. This is why we see this attack, which is among its goals. He prevented communication between members of the movement, especially between the leaders, in preparation for passing the rest of these decisions, in addition to other decisions he has in store, which also target the families of the prisoners.

The storming of Gilboa prison the night before last, at the head of a repressive force from the prison repression forces, was only within the framework of a fierce attack on the prisoner movement and its achievements.

Therefore, the Palestinian leadership and the National and Islamic Action factions are satisfied with issuing statements of denunciation and denunciation and calling on the international community and the United Nations to intervene on behalf of the prisoners. It is no longer sufficient, because the occupying state considers itself above international norms and laws, whether related to the Palestinian issue as a whole or what is related to the prisoners, and not to punish it. For its crimes and violations, it encourages it to continue targeting prisoners and everything Palestinian and Arab.

The time has come to expand the circle of local solidarity with the captive movement, and to take practical steps to thwart the plans of Ben Gvir, the prison authorities, and the extremist government of Netanyahu.
