Israeli intelligence (Mossad) participates in arms smuggling investigations in the West Bank

Israeli Army Radio reported on Tuesday morning that the Mossad, the security intelligence service responsible for foreign operations, is participating in investigations related to attempts to smuggle weapons from the Jordanian border, as well as in some attacks that occur in the West Bank.

According to Hebrew Radio, the reason for the Mossad's intervention is Iran's increasing involvement in attempts to smuggle weapons across the Jordanian border, as well as in directing attacks on the ground from the West Bank.

She noted that two unusual smuggling attempts of powerful explosives were recently thwarted, and an investigation is underway into whether Iran is behind them.

Usually, the Israeli General Security Agency (Shin Bet) is responsible for such investigations regarding internal operations.
