US State Department denies stopping normalization talks with Saudi Arabia

The US State Department denied reports about stopping talks with the Saudi leadership regarding normalization with Israel.

The Office of Near Eastern Affairs at the US State Department said through its account on the “X” platform, “The United States remains committed to strengthening Israel regionally, including through active diplomacy aimed at Israeli-Saudi normalization.”

He added: "The talks are continuing, and we look forward to further talks with the two sides."

The Elaph magazine website, owned by Saudi figures, quoted Israeli sources as saying that the United States had informed Israel that Saudi Arabia had decided to halt normalization talks due to divisions within Benjamin Netanyahu’s government and the continuation of Israeli provocations against the Palestinians.
