Around 45,000 Perform Friday Prayers in Al-Aqsa Mosque

Tens of thousands performed Friday prayers at the Al-Aqsa Mosque in the Old City of occupied Jerusalem, despite the strict military measures imposed by the Israeli occupation forces at the gates. 

The Waqf in Jerusalem estimated that about 45,000 worshipers performed Friday prayers at the holy site, who came from various areas of the West Bank, Jerusalem, and within the '48 territories. 

The occupation forces were stationed across the city and the vicinity of Al-Aqsa Mosque, stopping worshipers, checking their IDs and preventing dozens from entering the mosque.
