The U.S. administration urged the Israeli government on Wednesday to conduct an investigation into the shooting of an unarmed Palestinian in the town of Beita, south of Nablus.
32-year-old Amid Raleb al-Ja’oub is in a critical condition after he was shot in the back of the head by an Israeli sniper.
The Israeli military police announced that it would investigate the circumstances of the incident.
