The highest number of Palestinians from the Gaza Strip crossed Erez checkpoint into Israel, according to the United Nations.
The number reached 67,769 Palestinians, the highest number recorded since 2004.
This is mainly due to the record number of work permits – 17,000 – granted by Israel to Palestinians from Gaza.
