Palestinian President Abbas calls for UN intervention on Jenin

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas called on Tuesday on the United Nations and the international community to intervene to compel Israel to stop the displacement of the residents of Jenin refugee camp.

President Abbas condemned the "crime" against the residents of the camp, who were uprooted in 1948 and then faced the Israeli invasion of Jenin in 2002.

He also criticized the "double standards" of the international community, who have created a culture of impunity for Israel.
