Palestinian factions confirmed, on Monday, that the operation carried out by the occupation army in Jenin, hours ago, will fail to achieve its objectives.

Ismail Haniyeh, head of the Hamas political bureau, said in a press statement that "the blood shed on the land of Jenin will determine the nature of the next stage in all directions and paths."

Haniyeh called on the people of the West Bank to stand by Jenin and defend its people to thwart the occupation plan, saying: "Our people and their resistance in all places of their presence know how to respond to this barbaric aggression."

For its part, the Islamic Jihad movement said, "The aggression against Jenin will not achieve its goals, and we will remain Jenin as a symbol of steadfastness."

And the movement added in a statement: "Jenin will not surrender, and our fighters are determined to confront and fight regardless of the sacrifices," holding the occupation fully responsible for all the consequences of this aggression.

And she continued, "The resistance will confront the enemy and will defend the Palestinian people, and all options are open to strike the enemy in response to its aggression in Jenin."

For its part, the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine said, "The Zionist aggression against Jenin is inseparable from the comprehensive and continuous aggression against our people in all their places of residence."

She added: "The occupation's crimes will only increase our people's determination and steadfastness to continue the march of resistance until defeating this Zionist enemy." As stated in the text of its statement.
