Crime and the Shin Bet

Finally, albeit indirectly, Benjamin Netanyahu acknowledged the Hebrew state's responsibility for the exacerbation of the phenomenon of crime in the Arab sector.

The direct reason for this recognition is the killing of six Palestinians in one hour, bringing the killing rate since the beginning of the year to just under a hundred, which set a record that made the Israeli disregard and the lack of any serious effort on the part of Israel's security services, primarily the police, a motive. Strong for the Palestinian Arabs to escalate their cries about the phenomenon, and accuse the state not only of negligence, but of directly contributing to its continuation.

The official Israeli interpretations are validated by the saying: “an excuse is worse than a sin”:
- The police chief, in a public statement, attributed the phenomenon to what he described as "the culture of killing among the Arabs." Thus, he removed the accusation from Israel, casting it on the Arabs and their "bloody revenge" culture.
- As for the minister, who is the highest Israeli official responsible for the police and its work in the Arab sector, he is one of the adherents of the principle of "death to the Arabs." He attributed the persistence of the phenomenon to the accumulation of long-term shortcomings committed by successive governments. As if to say: "Like me, like others." So why blame and accusation, then, when some officials accused the Shin Bet of sponsoring the phenomenon?

The state runs the "organized mafia"
Most of the organized mafia elements are affiliated with and commanded by this apparatus. And because the Shin Bet, the police, and the Ministry of National Security are not charitable and non-governmental organizations, but rather they are pillars of the state, the official involvement in the phenomenon is no longer an emotional accusation launched by the victims, but rather a fact that the Israeli official authorities are no longer able to deny, and to promote stories that absolv them of responsibility for a waterfall of bleeding. From the bodies of people who hold her passport and whom the state calls Israeli Arabs!

Israel is one of the most important countries in the field of information, not only about what is happening within its borders and even the borders of its neighbours, but on a global level, and it faces a logical question: As long as this is the case, why is there no ability to collect information related to organized crime active in the Arab sector? Even though the state’s apparatus knows in minute detail what the Arabs whisper and what they write on social media, and it sells to everyone who needs information about what is going on in their country, even if it is thousands of miles away. As for the gangs that kill Arabs daily, it is as if they are operating in another planet, or they are killing enemies.

After the phenomenon turned into a moral burden on the state, which boasts of its democracy, security, and the equality of its residents before the law, Netanyahu intervened directly in the matter to personally lead the official effort to "pick up the issue" in a way that reeks of avoiding a scandal that stains the face of the state with blackness.

National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir was removed from the committee he headed to deal with the matter. This is an almost direct acknowledgment of the minister's role in the phenomenon and the illogicality of his involvement in the effort that is supposed to be within his powers, and the illogicality of his intention to involve the Shin Bet in the process. This confirms the accusation that this powerful apparatus that knows everything was prevented from intervening to end the phenomenon, from its inception until it reached the point of losing control over it.

Netanyahu is a partner in crime

Netanyahu was late for a long time in leading the official effort to contain the phenomenon and limit its disastrous repercussions on internal security and the alleged civilized image. If the bleeding stops, and this is what we hope, out of pain for the lives of the innocent Palestinians living in Israel, then it will be the last and decisive proof that his non-interference was tantamount to direct participation in the emergence and continuation of the phenomenon and the doubling of its victims. And if it continues, and this is what we do not wish, then things will get out of control, and this is what not only the Arabs say, but rather a large percentage of the Israelis.

Note: Hours after I finished writing this article, the death toll became one hundred and one, and until it is published, no one knows how many people will be killed.

A final note: Shin Bet leaders are reluctant to participate in any effort to reduce crime in the Arab sector, because the Shin Bet will not sacrifice its influence within organized crime families.
