Khader Adnan, a martyr

The prisoner, Sheikh Khader Adnan, was martyred, at dawn on Tuesday, after he was transferred unconscious from his cell in Nitzan Prison to Assaf Harofeh Hospital in Tel Aviv.


According to a statement by the Israeli Prison Service, Adnan underwent resuscitation attempts, but his death was determined.


Adnan was arrested on the fifth of last February and has since been on hunger strike to protest his arrest for the thirteenth time in his life, as mentioned in the statement.


She claimed that Adnan, during his hunger strike, was refusing to undergo medical examinations or receive treatment in prisons.


Adnan is a resident of Arraba in Jenin, and he is a prominent leader in the Islamic Jihad Movement. He went through several strikes in the occupation prisons, the first of which was in 2005.


Adnan was arrested by the occupation forces several times at different times, on charges of belonging and membership in the Islamic Jihad movement and being active in it.


With the martyrdom of Adnan, the number of martyrs of the captive movement rises to 237.
