German Championship: Bayern maintains the lead and two points ahead of Dortmund

Bayern Munich maintained the lead and a two-point difference against its rivals and direct chaser Borussia Dortmund, by defeating its host Freiburg 1-0 in a revenge match, while the second snatched a difficult victory against its guest Union Berlin 2-1 on Saturday, in the 27th stage of the German Football League .


Bayern took revenge on Freiburg, who had knocked it out of the quarter-finals of the local cup competition by beating it 2-1 on Tuesday, while Borussia Dortmund returned to the winning streak after meeting Bayern's fate in the cup by losing to defending champion Leipzig 0-2, and giving up the lead to Bayern in particular by losing to him. 2-4 in the last stage.


Bayern, who achieved its seventeenth victory this season, raised its score to 58 points, two points ahead of Dortmund, who inflicted the sixth loss on Union Berlin III, with 51 points. Leipzig, who played the match without his French striker Christopher Nkunku, climbed to fourth place by defeating Hertha Berlin 1-0, scored by Amadou Hydara (39).


Coach Marco Rose's men achieved their 14th victory this season, raised their score to 48 points and regained fourth place from Freiburg, but they are 10 points behind leaders Bayern 7 stages before the end.


In its race for a European seat, Bayer Leverkusen took sixth place from its guest, Eintracht Frankfurt, by beating it 3-1.
