Palestine participates in the Asian Judo Championships in Kuwait this April

The Palestinian Judo Federation announced that Palestine will be present and actively participating in the Asian Championship for Applicants scheduled to be held in the State of Kuwait on April 27, "immediately after the Eid al-Fitr holiday", with an official delegation represented by three players, a coach, and the president of the federation, Jihad Oweida, who will attend the Asian General Assembly meeting.

Oweida told Pal Sport that the tournament will be held in Kuwait with the participation of a large number of Asian countries, including the State of Palestine, which will participate with three players, two of whom have been camped in the sister Republic of Algeria for a month and a half, and they are the two Palestinians, Nader Mashah and Moayad Dhouib, who will leave Algeria for Kuwait directly to participate in the tournament. The Asian Championship, which precedes the World Championship, will be joined by the player from the Palestinian diaspora from Syria, Fares Badawi, and the able coach, Raed Dhouib.

Aweidah said that the AFC will hold a general assembly meeting on the sidelines of the tournament, and the AFC elections will be held, indicating that he intends to nominate himself for an administrative position in the AFC.

In a related context, Jihad Aweda thanked the Algerian Federation and its president, Yassine Cellini, for what they provided to the Palestinian side through the intensive and long training camp for the players Mesha and Dhouib, which started since the beginning of last March and is still continuing in Algiers.
