Abu Bakr: The prisoner Walid Daqqa is struggling with death and the occupation’s negligence is intentional

Today, Saturday, the head of the Commission for Detainees and Ex-Prisoners Affairs, Major General Qadri Abu Bakr , called on the Israeli occupation prison administration to immediately release sick prisoners inside detention centers, especially in light of their lives being endangered, due to deliberate health neglect against them.

Abu Bakr added, in a press statement, that "the prisoner Walid Daqqa, who has been in Israeli prisons for 38 years, is facing a serious health crisis, and he needs an urgent operation for a spinal cord transplant."

Abu Bakr confirmed that the 60-year-old prisoner "was taken to the hospital in a deplorable condition, with a severe drop in blood pressure that reached level 7, in addition to the presence of water on the lung, and difficulty breathing, in addition to the basic diseases he suffers from, He needs an urgent operation and special health care that the Israeli prison administration does not provide.”

With regard to the Israeli arrests in conjunction with the Palestinian Land Day celebrations, Abu Bakr said, "The Israeli arrests, the storming of camps and cities, and the violations against the Palestinians are continuous and escalating, and they will not stop as long as there is an ongoing occupation of the land, as the bloodshed and the number of wounded and prisoners will continue."
