The sick prisoner, Moatasem Raddad, is entering his 18th year in the occupation prisons

Ramallah - "Jerusalem" dot com - The prisoner Mutassim Raddad (40 years) from the town of Sidon, northeast of Tulkarm, entered his 18th year in the Israeli occupation prisons, since his arrest in 2006, and he is a sick prisoner .


The Prisoner's Club pointed out that the prisoner Raddad was sentenced to 20 years in prison, and during his arrest he was injured by dozens of shrapnel, and later he faced harsh and difficult detention conditions that contributed to the worsening of his health condition, in addition to the occupation's prison administration continuing to detain him in the "Ramle Clinic" prison. Where he spent most of his years of detention inside it, which the prisoners call the "slaughterhouse", as it lacks the minimum health conditions necessary for a sick prisoner.


The prisoner Raddad has been suffering since 2008 from a chronic disease of the intestines, which causes him permanent bleeding. He also suffers from high blood pressure and heart rate, difficulty breathing, nerve and bone problems, poor eyesight, and permanent pains that prevent him from sleeping. For years, as a result of his continued suffering from The bleeding has become anemic, and he needs intensive and continuous treatment, and special healthy food.

During the year 2018, prisoner Raddad was infected with a virus in his hands and feet as a result of his weak immunity, which caused him to spread blisters and severe pain in his body, and this exacerbated his ongoing suffering.

It is noteworthy that the number of sick prisoners in the occupation prisons is about 600, of whom 200 suffer from chronic diseases, including 24 prisoners suffering from cancer of varying degrees.
