This came during his speech via video to the meeting of the Progressive Alliance, which was held in the German capital, Berlin .

Shtayyeh pointed out that the right-wing parties participating in the Israeli elections that will be held soon are becoming increasingly extremist and racist, and their electoral propaganda is motivated by Palestinian blood, daily incursions into Palestinian areas, arrests, and the confiscation of more lands in favor of settlement expansion.

Shtayyeh stressed the need for Israel to pay the price of its occupation of the Palestinian territories and make it costly, as this occupation reaps profits from its continued control of the areas called "C" and deprives us of benefiting from our natural resources there.

He called for the application of international law with regard to Palestine and respect for the Charter of the United Nations, pointing out that Israel, since its establishment, has not respected international resolutions and the Charter of the United Nations, especially Resolution 181 and Resolution 194, which were among the conditions for its admission to membership in the United Nations.

It is noteworthy that the Progressive Alliance was established in 2013 in Germany, and it is an international political organization consisting of democratic and progressive political parties and organizations, and includes 140 countries from all over the world.
