"A set of charges that the Al-Halabi prisoner did not acknowledge throughout his years of detention since 2016, during which he faced various forms of torture and great pressure in order to confess to the charges against him, as well as to accept a deal to end the case, but the Al-Halabi prisoner refused that, and he must The court's previous decision was to "convict" him.


The lawyer told the prisoner’s father, al-Halabi, that the occupation prosecution again offered Muhammad to confess to one of the charges against him, in exchange for his immediate release.


The Captive Club reiterated that what is happening against the human rights activist, engineer Muhammad al-Halabi, is nothing but a retaliatory political decision, and represents a new blow to the international human rights system. The stage is the continuous international silence in front of the continuous crimes against the Palestinians that have not stopped for many decades.


The prisoner Al-Halabi was arrested on June 15, 2016, upon his return from Jerusalem, where he was attending a periodic meeting with his managers in the "World Vision" organization in the Jerusalem office. After his arrest, he was transferred to the "Ashkelon" interrogation center, where the interrogation continued for (52 days). ) days, during which he was subjected to physical and psychological torture, and he was denied a meeting with his lawyer during this period, in an attempt to pressure him to extract confessions from him by force, and the torture he was subjected to caused a 50% hearing loss, and other health problems.


Since his arrest, Al-Halabi has been facing the longest trial in history, as the occupation has tried, over the years of his detention since 2016, to pressure him in order to extract any confession from him, as well as trying to convince him and his lawyer to complete a deal, which Muhammad refused, and he also rejected all the charges against him, except that The court recently "convicted" him.


Al-Halabi was born in 1978. He holds a degree in civil engineering. He used to work as the director of the World Vision Foundation. During his detention, the Academy of Peace in Germany awarded him an honorary doctorate in honor of him and his humanitarian work. He is married and father of five children.
