"Hebrew Broadcasting": Tel Aviv Studies Launching a Large-Scale Military Operation in Lebanon and Netanyahu Discussed the File with Trump

The Hebrew Broadcasting Corporation revealed this Friday evening, quoting informed sources, that Tel Aviv is seriously studying launching a large-scale military operation in Lebanon; aimed at eliminating what it called the "Hezbollah threat".

The Hebrew Broadcasting Corporation reported that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu discussed the issue of expanding Israeli occupation attacks with US President Donald Trump during their recent meeting in Florida earlier this week.

According to what was published by the Hebrew Broadcasting Corporation, Israeli occupation estimates indicate that "Hezbollah" has managed, under the current ceasefire agreement, to somewhat rehabilitate its organizational and military capabilities.

Israeli officials claimed that the Lebanese government is completely "helpless" in the face of the party's movements, which prompted Tel Aviv to hint at the direct military option.

Although the Trump administration does not rule out the possibility of Tel Aviv carrying out an operation against Hezbollah, the sources confirmed that Netanyahu received a request to delay making the final decision; in order to allow more room for dialogue with the Lebanese government.

This escalation comes amid internal reports of the Israeli occupation talking about the failure of political and diplomatic paths to impose disarmament on the party, which opens the door to new military calculations.

In contrast, Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam renewed his affirmation of the state's seriousness in extending its authority, stating that the second phase of the army's plan to confine weapons will begin, covering the area between the two banks of the Litani River to the south and the Awali River to the north.

Salam explained that this phase requires careful follow-up due to its vast area, confirming the success of the military institution so far in fully controlling south of the Litani up to the borders, except for the points still occupied by Israel.

Salam announced that the Council of Ministers will hold a meeting at the beginning of the new year to evaluate the results of the first phase, demanding reciprocal steps from the Israeli side, represented by stopping aggressions and violations of the ceasefire resolution.

He indicated that Beirut is proceeding with its timeline, which includes subsequent phases covering Beirut, Mount Lebanon, and the Bekaa, despite Israeli threats that seek to obstruct this national path.
