Israeli forces and settlers escalated their attacks early Wednesday in the northern and central occupied West Bank, by storming the eastern neighborhood of the city of Jenin, and burning two Palestinian vehicles in the town of Ein Yabrud northeast of Ramallah governorate.

In Jenin, local sources reported that Israeli special forces stormed the eastern neighborhood of the city early today, followed by military reinforcements from the Jalame checkpoint.

The sources added that the forces raided a house in the neighborhood and turned it into a military outpost, while besieging another house, and began conducting a widespread arrest campaign among the citizens, subjecting them to field interrogations.

Following the raid, the Directorate of Education in Jenin announced the suspension of school attendance on Wednesday in public and private schools and kindergartens, to ensure the safety of students.

In a related context, settlers burned two Palestinian vehicles and wrote racist slogans on the walls of houses in the town of Ein Yabrud northeast of Ramallah in the central West Bank, according to local sources.

Witnesses stated that the fire consumed the two vehicles, while slogans were written in Hebrew on the Palestinians' homes.

Since the start of the genocide war on Gaza, the Israeli army and settlers have escalated their attacks against Palestinians and their property, killing 1,097 Palestinians in the West Bank and injuring nearly 11,000 others, in addition to arresting more than 21,000.

On October 10, a ceasefire between Israel and the Hamas movement came into effect, which was supposed to end the collective genocide committed by Tel Aviv with American support over two years starting from October 8, 2023, resulting in the killing of more than 70,000 Palestinians and injuring more than 171,000.
