A Palestinian was martyred and a girl was injured today, Friday, by the fire of the Israeli occupation army as part of its ongoing violations of the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip, coinciding with renewed airstrikes and gunfire in various areas of the sector.
Medical sources reported that an Israeli drone targeted the "Ramida" area in Bani Suheila, east of Khan Younis, resulting in the martyrdom of Palestinian Abdullah Hamad, whose body was transferred to Nasser Hospital.
The targeted area is located within what is known as the "yellow line," which is controlled by the occupation army under the ceasefire agreement, and it continues to control about 53 percent of the total area of the Gaza Strip.
In a related context, a Palestinian girl was moderately injured due to heavy gunfire from Israeli vehicles directed at the tents of displaced persons in the Mawasi area, northwest of Rafah city in the southern Gaza Strip.
This area is inhabited by tens of thousands of displaced Palestinians, who were displaced from their homes in several areas of the sector.
The "Hamas" movement and the Israeli occupation reached a ceasefire agreement mediated by Egypt, Qatar, and Turkey, with American sponsorship, which entered its first phase on October 10 of last month.
During the early hours of dawn and morning, the Israeli warplanes launched several violent airstrikes east of Khan Younis and northeast of Rafah in the southern sector.
In the waters off Khan Younis, Israeli warboats opened fire heavily, coinciding with the firing of incendiary bombs towards fishermen and the tents of displaced persons on the beach.
Israeli warboats also fired shells towards the coast of Gaza City, while artillery shelling was also recorded east of Khan Younis in the southern sector.
The Israeli occupation army continues its violations of the ceasefire it signed with Hamas, having committed about 497 violations since October 10, resulting in the deaths of more than 342 Palestinians, according to the government media office in Gaza.
The Israeli genocide in Gaza, which began in October 2023 and lasted for two years, resulted in more than 69,000 martyrs and over 170,000 Palestinian injuries, most of whom are children and women, along with massive destruction, with reconstruction costs estimated by the United Nations at around 70 billion dollars.
