Ibn Ghafer continues his incitement against the Palestinians and supports the army's execution of two young men in Jen

Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir continued his inciting statements against Palestinians on Thursday, expressing his support for Israeli soldiers who cold-bloodedly executed two young men at point-blank range despite their surrender in the city of Jenin in the northern West Bank.

On Thursday, a video showed the Israeli army shooting at two Palestinian young men from point-blank range in the city of Jenin in the occupied northern West Bank, after they raised their hands and surrendered to the army.

Ben Gvir stated in a post on his page on the American platform "X": "I fully support the border guard fighters and the Israel Defense Forces who shot at wanted individuals coming out of a building in Jenin."

The extremist minister claimed that "the soldiers' actions were exactly as expected of them."

Earlier on Thursday, the Palestinian Ministry of Health stated in a statement that the General Authority for Civil Affairs (governmental) informed it of the "martyrdom of the two young men, Al-Montaser Billah Mahmoud Qassem Abdullah (26 years old) and Yusuf Ali Yusuf Asasah (37 years old), by the occupation's bullets in the Abu Thahir mountain area in Jenin, and the detention of their bodies."

For his part, Jenin Governor Kamel Abu al-Rub said: "The two young men raised their hands to the army, which shot at them and did not allow anyone to approach the area, preventing ambulances from transporting them."

Meanwhile, the Israeli army stated in a statement that it has opened an investigation into the circumstances of the incident in which soldiers shot at two Palestinian young men at point-blank range despite their surrender in the city of Jenin.

Ben Gvir is known for his inciting positions against Palestinians, including changes he made to the conditions of Palestinian prisoners following the outbreak of the Gaza war on October 8, 2023.

The far-right "Jewish Power" party, led by Ben Gvir, also presented a "bill" to the Knesset imposing the death penalty on Palestinians accused of "participating in the killing of Jews."

On November 11 of this month, the Knesset approved the bill in its first reading, with a majority of 39 members out of 120, against 16 who voted against it, according to the official Hebrew broadcasting authority.

However, it still needs to be voted on in second and third readings before it becomes an enacted law.
