Trump comments on the progress of the "Gaza Agreement".. and the resistance releases more bodies of Israelis.

U.S. President Donald Trump said today, Tuesday, that the Palestinian Islamic resistance movement "Hamas" must lay down its arms, or they will be taken away.

Trump added during a meeting at the White House with his Argentine counterpart Javier Milei: "If they do not lay down their arms, we will take them. And that will happen quickly and perhaps violently."

Earlier, Trump stated in a post on his platform "Truth Social": "The promise to return all the bodies has not been fulfilled (...) the second phase of the Gaza agreement begins now, but the mission is not yet over, as the bodies of the dead have not been returned as agreed."

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu predicted on Tuesday evening that more bodies of Israeli prisoners in Gaza would be released within the next few hours.

This came during his visit on Tuesday evening to a number of released prisoners from Gaza at "Beilinson" Hospital in Petah Tikva near Tel Aviv.

On Monday, "Hamas" released twenty living Israeli prisoners and handed over the bodies of four, stating that it needs time to retrieve the bodies of another 24.

The "Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades," the military wing of "Hamas," stated that it handed over the bodies of: Guy Elouz, Yossi Sharabi, Bevin Joshi, and Daniel Perez.

In return, Israel released 250 Palestinian prisoners serving life sentences, in addition to 1,718 it detained from the Gaza Strip after October 8, 2023.

Netanyahu said in a video message: "I promised to bring them back, and we brought them back. With the same determination, responsibility, and seriousness, we are dealing with the return of the dead. We will spare no effort or means to bring them back."

A Hamas leader confirmed that the movement will hand over the bodies of four to six Israeli hostages tonight as part of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza.

The leader, who preferred to remain anonymous, told Agence France-Presse, "We informed the mediators that we will deliver 4 to 6 bodies of Israeli prisoners tonight."

For its part, the Israeli occupation army announced on Tuesday evening that teams from the International Committee of the Red Cross are on their way to retrieve the bodies of Israeli prisoners in the Gaza Strip.

Army spokesman Avichai Adraee stated via the "X" platform: "Red Cross teams are on their way to a meeting point in northern Gaza."

He added that "they will be handed several coffins belonging to hostages."

He continued that "Hamas is required to fulfill the agreement and make every effort necessary to return all the hostages."
