The death of a Palestinian prisoner after the deterioration of his health in Israeli prisons.

The Palestinian Authority for Prisoners' Affairs and the Prisoners' Club announced on Tuesday evening the death of a Palestinian prisoner in an Israeli hospital, following a deterioration in his health condition.

The prisoner Ahmad Hatim Muhammad Khudhayrat (22 years old) from the town of al-Dhahiriya in Hebron, died in Soroka Hospital in Israel after being held in administrative detention since May 23, 2024.

The Prisoners' Club warned last August of a serious deterioration in Khudhayrat's health, who was suffering from chronic diabetes and scabies, with his weight dropping to 40 kilograms.

Administrative detention is a military order by Israel to imprison without charges, and Khudhayrat is considered one of thousands of sick prisoners in Israeli jails.

A report from prisoner organizations indicated that 77 Palestinian prisoners have been martyred since the onset of the war on Gaza, amid increasing Israeli violations in the West Bank.

Israel is committing genocide in Gaza, resulting in the deaths of 67,173 Palestinians, with the humanitarian situation deteriorating at an unprecedented rate.
