A child was martyred by the bullets of the occupation forces this evening, Monday, while the vicinity of Al-Shifa Hospital in the west of Gaza City witnessed extensive military and armored movements.
Medical sources reported the martyrdom of the child Abdul Rahman Azam Abu Asi (12 years old), affected by his injury from a gunshot in the Moraj area north of Rafah city, bringing the number of martyrs in the southern Gaza Strip to 6, including 5 aid recipients.
In this context, the occupation forces carried out a "ground military maneuver" in the heart of Gaza City, advancing from the eastern and northern axes reaching the Al-Sahaba intersection on Al-Jalaa Street, and also infiltrated into Al-Nasr Street for about 200 meters from Al-Shifa Hospital, one of the most prominent health facilities in the sector.
Simultaneously, other units moved from the southern side to reach the Faris Petroleum Station in the universities area, in a step aimed at imposing a military cordon around Al-Shifa Hospital.
Earlier today, medical sources in Gaza announced that the toll of the ongoing Israeli aggression on the sector, since October 7, 2023, has risen to 66,055 martyrs and 168,346 injured, noting that some victims are still under the rubble and in the streets, amid the inability of ambulance and civil defense crews to reach them until now.
