On its 722nd day.. Famine and massacres as the occupation's invasion of the city of Gaza expands.

Famine and massacres.. The occupation expands its incursion into the city of Gaza amid intense bombardment and a bloody toll in what is the most severe escalation in months. On Saturday, the occupation army expanded its military operation and ground incursion into the neighborhoods of Gaza City, imposing a dense fire belt of airstrikes and artillery shelling, resulting in new massacres and the fall of dozens of martyrs and wounded, exacerbating the humanitarian disaster with the United Nations officially declaring famine in the besieged sector.

Since dawn on Saturday, the occupation army has launched a series of wide-ranging attacks on Gaza City, with civil defense reporting that thousands of Palestinians are trapped inside the towers of the Tel al-Hawa residential neighborhood under the weight of continuous airstrikes and explosions carried out by explosive-laden armored vehicles. The intense shelling has targeted the neighborhoods of Zaitoun, Sabra, Shuja'iyya, Tuffah, Daraj, Sheikh Radwan, and the vicinity of Al-Quds Hospital, leading to the destruction of entire residential blocks.

In a catastrophic turn, the United Nations officially declared famine in the Gaza Governorate, marking the first such announcement in the Middle East, confirming that half a million people are facing catastrophic hunger. This announcement comes as a result of the starvation and siege policies imposed by the occupation, which have caused the deaths of dozens of civilians, most of them children, due to malnutrition.
