U.S. President Donald Trump announced a meeting he described as "very important" and "the most important one he is holding today" to discuss ending the war in the Gaza Strip.
Trump said before his meeting with Arab and Muslim leaders to present his plan regarding Gaza: "We want to end the war in the Gaza Strip and bring back the hostages."
He added: "This meeting will be important, and we will discuss ending the war, and perhaps we will end it now."
He emphasized that "the war in Gaza must end, and we want all hostages to return to their homes."
Trump noted that the majority of hostages in Gaza have been released, explaining: "We want to recover 20 hostages and 38 bodies from Gaza."
He affirmed by saying: "We will put an end to the war in Gaza that should never have happened."
