Pope Leo XIV, the spiritual leader of Catholics and head of the Vatican State, stated that "there can be no future built on violence, forced displacement, and revenge," referring to the tragic conditions in the Gaza Strip.
The Pope, who delivered the traditional Sunday prayer from the window of his office overlooking St. Peter's Square in the Vatican, addressed the situation in Gaza, which has been subjected to ongoing Israeli extermination for nearly two years.
Pope Leo XIV expressed his appreciation for the efforts of the church's priests who have shown solidarity with Gaza, noting the destruction it has faced. The Pope called for peace in Gaza, saying: "I repeat with you today, there is no future built on violence, forced displacement, and revenge."
