The West Bank.. Israel imposes special permits on Palestinians from two villages and a neighborhood.

On Saturday, Israeli authorities imposed on Palestinian residents in the "Khalayla neighborhood" and the villages of Beit Iksa and Nabi Samuel, northwest of occupied Jerusalem in the West Bank, the requirement to obtain special permits for entering and exiting their areas, a move that citizens described as deepening the policy of isolation and restricting movement.

The official Palestinian news agency reported that "Israeli occupation authorities imposed on the residents of the Khalayla neighborhood and the towns of Beit Iksa and Nabi Samuel, northwest of occupied Jerusalem, the requirement to obtain special permits to move to and from their villages, in a step that deepens the policy of isolation and restricts movement and control over the land."

The three villages suffer from near-total isolation due to the construction of the separation wall and the military checkpoints and gates surrounding them, which has deprived them of natural urban expansion, as their residents are prohibited from building new homes or bringing in essential supplies.
