The public prosecutor's office in Germany is expected to file charges today, Friday, against government officials and executives in arms companies 'for their role in inciting genocide, crimes against humanity, and war crimes against the Palestinian people.'
A group of organizations and lawyers in the initiative 'Justice and Accountability for Palestine' is preparing to file a historic criminal complaint with the German federal prosecutor in Karlsruhe, targeting 11 government officials and executives in arms companies in Germany for approving the delivery of weapons to Israel.
This complaint comes days after a report from the United Nations Independent International Commission of Inquiry, which concluded that Israel committed 4 acts of genocide as defined by the Genocide Convention, adding legal and international weight to the initiative.
