A large number of celebrities and global stars have issued calls to support Palestine and stand in solidarity with it in the face of the genocide being committed by Israel for the past two years.
Among the celebrities are American singer Billie Eilish, and actors; Irish Cillian Murphy, American Joaquin Phoenix, and Spanish Javier Bardem.
The celebrities made their calls in a video shown before the 'Together for Palestine' event held in London on Wednesday, starting their words by mentioning the word 'Palestine.'
Actor Brian Cox, star of the series 'Succession,' said, 'We must tell the truth on behalf of the Palestinian people.'
British comedian Steve Coogan emphasized that 'it is important to raise your voice now, not after everything is over, now while events are happening.'
He added emphatically: 'Press your government, and support those who are conducting peaceful campaigns, demand a ceasefire, stop the killing.'
The video also featured Venus O'Connell, Penelope Cruz, Natasha Rothwell, Sharon Horgan, Benedict Wong, Peter Gabriel, Malala Yousafzai, and Ruby Kaur.
The event, which was streamed live online, raised donations allocated to organizations such as the Taawon Cooperation Association, the Palestine Children's Relief Fund (PCRF), and the Palestinian Medical Relief Society (PMRS).
Since October 7, 2023, Israel - with absolute American support - has been committing genocide in Gaza, resulting in 65,062 deaths and 165,697 injuries, most of whom are children and women, and famine that has claimed the lives of 432 Palestinians, including 146 children.
We must tell the truth on behalf of the Palestinian people.
