Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confirmed that he intends to meet with U.S. President Donald Trump in the next two weeks, specifically after his speech at the United Nations General Assembly.
During a press conference on Tuesday, Netanyahu stated, "I will meet Trump in Washington in two weeks, following my speech at the United Nations General Assembly," marking Netanyahu's fourth visit to the White House in less than a year.
Netanyahu noted that Trump invited him to meet at the White House, saying, "Trump invited me to a meeting at the White House in two weeks – on Monday after my speech at the United Nations."
He continued: "We will not stop the military escalation in Gaza until the prisoners are returned."
Israeli Channel 13 reported that "Netanyahu's office is coordinating with the Trump administration for a meeting expected next week."
According to the channel, Netanyahu's office requested the White House to coordinate a meeting between the two leaders.
The report indicated that the aim is to hold a meeting in Washington next week, directly after Netanyahu's speech at the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
This meeting comes after the Israeli occupation army targeted the Qatari capital, Doha, last week, and attempted to assassinate leaders of the Hamas movement, coinciding with the commencement of a ground military operation by the occupation army in the city of Gaza.
Netanyahu accused Qatar of funding Hamas, considering that the strike targeting leaders of the Islamic resistance movement in Doha last week was "justified," adding that "Qatar is linked to Hamas; it shelters and funds it. It has strong leverage, but it chose not to use it."
He added, "Therefore, our action was completely justified."
Earlier, Netanyahu attacked Qatar and China, stating that they are working to besiege Tel Aviv through media narratives, saying, "Qatar and China are orchestrating an attack on Israel through social media in the Western world and the United States, and we will have to do things to break the siege orchestrated by these countries."
He continued: "Israel's competitors through NGOs and countries like Qatar and China are influencing the hostile Western media against us, using artificial intelligence and advertisements, especially on TikTok."
We will not stop the military escalation in Gaza until the prisoners are returned.
