Jewish actress Einbinder wins an Emmy and chants "Free Palestine"

The American Jewish actress Hannah Einbinder won the award for Best Supporting Actress at the 2025 Emmy Awards, and during her acceptance speech, she shouted: "Free Palestine."

The ceremony took place in its 77th edition in Los Angeles, California, on Sunday evening, where Einbinder received the award for her role in the series "Hacks."

During her speech on stage, the actress criticized the policies of President Donald Trump regarding Palestine and immigration, before concluding her remarks with the chant "Freedom for Palestine" and condemning the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

In statements made after the ceremony, Einbinder said that as a Jew, she feels it is her duty to emphasize that "Jews are separate from the State of Israel."

She added: "Our religion and culture are completely separate from this ethnic-national entity."

She expressed her deep concern over the crimes committed by Israel against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.

She emphasized that she will continue to denounce institutions that "collaborate with Israel in its genocide," expressing pride in being part of the campaigns against Israel.

With U.S. support, Israel has been committing genocide in Gaza since October 7, 2023, resulting in 64,871 deaths and 164,610 injuries among Palestinians, most of whom are children and women, along with hundreds of thousands of displaced persons, and famine that has claimed the lives of 422 Palestinians, including 145 children.
