Fifteen activists are participating in the Global Resilience Fleet, which intends to head towards the besieged Gaza Strip, as a sign of solidarity with Palestinian women in the area.

Malika, a nurse from France, stated that "the global fleet consists of dozens of ships, and there is one ship specifically for women, carrying 15 women on board."

Malika confirmed that "the women of Gaza are without resources, standing against (Israeli) destruction and teaching us a lesson in humanity."

She added: "Our main goal is to break the Israeli siege on Gaza and establish a humanitarian corridor, where no humanitarian aid is allowed in, and in light of the ineffectiveness of governments, we are working to achieve that."

Earlier, Khaled Bajjuma, a member of the Maghreb Fleet Management Committee, said that foreign ships will sail from the port of Bizerte towards Gaza today.

The "Global Resilience Fleet" currently includes nearly 50 ships gathered at Tunisian ports, including a Maghreb convoy of 23 ships.

Since March 2, the occupying state has closed all crossings leading to Gaza, preventing any food, medicine, or humanitarian aid, plunging the area into famine.

With American support, the occupying state has been committing genocide in Gaza since October 7, 2023, resulting in 64,803 deaths and 164,264 injuries among Palestinians.
