In a rare admission, former Israeli Chief of Staff Halevi acknowledges the killing and injury of 200,000 Palestinians in Gaza, which represents more than 10% of the population of the enclave.
Halevi's statements, made during a meeting with settlers in a "kibbutz" south of Tel Aviv, came after his resignation last March, noting that this figure closely aligns with the statistics reported by the Ministry of Health in Gaza.
Halevi revealed the true role of legal advisors in the occupying army, confirming that they never constrained his military decisions "not even once at all."
No one has ever constrained me... not even the military prosecutor.
