The resolution called on the occupying state to fully and safely open all crossings for aid and to ensure the protection of civilians and those working in medical and relief fields.
It emphasized the necessity of reaching an immediate and permanent ceasefire, along with resuming funding for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), which is a lifeline for millions of Palestinians.
The Parliament affirmed in its text that Gaza is at the breaking point, and that the European Union has a key role in addressing famine and advancing the political process towards a two-state solution, as the only way to resolve the Palestinian issue.
