Occupation forces launch a campaign of arrests in the dozens in the city of Tulkarm.

The Israeli occupation forces launched a wide-scale arrest campaign this evening, Thursday, against citizens in the city of Tulkarem. Our correspondent reported that the occupation forces raided shops and cafes in the city center, particularly on Al-Haddadin Street and Martyr Thabet Thabet Square, and around Al-Alimi Roundabout ('the courts') in the western neighborhood, arresting anyone present inside or in their vehicles, and led them on foot in long lines towards the street leading to the Khadouri military checkpoint ('Nitzani Oz') to the west.

She added that the occupation forces deployed more military vehicles and heavy bulldozers to the city, where they concentrated around Al-Alimi Roundabout, and soldiers raided homes and shops in the area, forcing them to close, and confiscated several surveillance cameras from them, while preventing the movement of citizens in the area.

The occupation forces also stormed the Arta suburb and the southern neighborhood of the city, raiding several homes, searching them, interrogating their residents, and arresting the two young men Qussam Hatim Faqih and Bilal Abu Sha'ar from their home. The Israeli occupation forces imposed a tight siege on the city this afternoon, after closing the iron military gates at its southern and eastern entrances, represented by the Jabbar Bridge gate at the southern entrance and the military Hajar Anab gates to the east, preventing the movement of vehicles through them.

The occupation forces fired live ammunition heavily towards citizens and vehicles in the western neighborhood, specifically around the 'Nitzani Oz' gate, coinciding with the sound of a massive explosion that shook the city, while the occupation prevented Palestinian ambulances from reaching the area. The Palestinian Red Crescent Society confirmed that the occupation forces prevented its crews from reaching the area.

This escalation comes amid the ongoing aggression of the occupation against the city of Tulkarem and its camps ('Tulkarem and Nur Shams'), which has entered its 228th consecutive day, amidst daily incursions and strict military measures targeting citizens and their properties.
