Saudi Crown Prince: The land of Gaza is Palestinian, and the rights of its people are established and cannot be taken away by aggression or negated by threats

The Saudi Crown Prince, Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman, stated that "the land of Gaza is Palestinian and the rights of its people are firm, not to be taken away by aggression nor negated by threats, and our position is steadfast in protecting rights and working diligently to prevent their violations."

He affirmed in the annual royal speech he delivered today, Wednesday, on behalf of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz, at the opening of the second year of the ninth session of the Shura Council, that "the Arab Peace Initiative launched by the Kingdom in 2002, which we have activated internationally through the perspective of a two-state solution, today represents an unprecedented path to achieving the Palestinian state."

He added: "The Kingdom's intensive efforts have resulted in an increase in the number of countries recognizing the State of Palestine, and what was achieved by the international conference for implementing the two-state solution in New York, which garnered unprecedented support, enhances international consensus to implement this initiative."

He continued: "While we thank all regional and international partners for their effective humanitarian contributions, we reiterate our call for other countries to participate in this phase."

The Saudi Crown Prince condemned "the continued brutal attacks on the brotherly Palestinian people in Gaza and the ongoing crimes of starvation and forced displacement."

He said: "Our internal achievements go hand in hand with our efforts to achieve security and stability in the region. We reject and condemn the assaults of the Israeli occupation authority in the region, the latest of which is the brutal aggression against the brotherly State of Qatar, which requires Arab, Islamic, and international action to confront this aggression and to take international measures to stop the occupation authority and deter it from its criminal practices that destabilize the security and stability of the region."
