Thousands of Palestinians in the city of Gaza took to the streets today, Tuesday, in a symbolic march they called the "March of the Shrouds," in rejection of the occupation army's orders to evacuate the city, and to affirm their commitment to their land in the face of attempts at forced displacement and genocide.
The massive march, called for by popular and union groups, started from the Al-Saraya intersection in the center of Gaza City. Participants raised banners and slogans affirming their stay in their city and condemning the crimes of the occupation.
The march was named the "March of the Shrouds" as a symbolic indication of the participants' readiness to sacrifice their lives and remain on their land "until the last breath," in the face of Israeli threats.
The participants in the march affirmed their commitment to staying in their city and condemned the crimes of the occupation.
