The Hebrew broadcasting authority stated that the United States, Qatar, and Egypt will present a new proposal this week to reach an agreement between the occupying state and Hamas, which includes the release of all prisoners, the end of the war, and the formation of a government in Gaza.
According to the authority, it is likely that Ron Dermer, the head of the negotiating team and a close associate of Netanyahu, will arrive in the United States this week to consult with senior officials in the Trump administration, coinciding with the arrival of a Hamas delegation in Cairo, where it renewed its commitment in a statement on Saturday evening to the agreement of August 18 with the Palestinian factions regarding the mediators' proposal for a ceasefire.
Hamas stated that it is open to any idea or proposal that would achieve a comprehensive ceasefire, a complete withdrawal of the occupying forces from the Gaza Strip, unconditional entry of humanitarian aid, and a prisoner exchange through serious negotiations via mediators.
At the same time, Israeli journalist Amit Segal revealed in a report published by "Israel Hayom" about the formulation of a new "secret" political plan regarding Gaza, being prepared in American-Israeli coordination, which differs from previous proposals that were limited to the option of a temporary deal or complete occupation of the territory.
Segal said that "the plan aims to link the ongoing military resolution in Gaza with a broader political track involving moderate Sunni Arab countries, hoping that this will lead to the end of the war through a comprehensive settlement."
He added that the occupying army "is preparing for a different phase than previous rounds of fighting, after military documents revealed a disregard for international deadlines."
He continued that "the idea resembles the Apple model where the product is designed in one place and packaged in another, meaning that ideas are born in Tel Aviv while marketed in Washington."
According to the newspaper, "Israeli Minister of Strategic Affairs Ron Dermer is leading the coordination between Washington and Abu Dhabi in an attempt to formulate a political vision for post-war Gaza."
The newspaper mentioned that this approach indicates a new path that integrates military operations with international political steps, aiming to end the battle and reach a settlement.
For his part, Israeli journalist and analyst on Channel 12, Barak Ravid, stated that White House envoy Steve Witkoff conveyed messages to Hamas through peace activist Gershon Baskin regarding a comprehensive deal for the release of all prisoners, both alive and deceased, noting that the latter communicated with Hamas leader Ghazi Hamad, who was also in contact with him when he helped relay messages in the negotiations for the release of Gilad Shalit over a decade ago.
The proposal conveyed by Witkoff to Hamas through Baskin included several general principles, in addition to the release of all prisoners in exchange for ending the war.
The Israeli i24 channel revealed the main points included in the new proposal, which include Hamas relinquishing its heavy weapons, such as tunnels and rockets, to be subject to Egyptian oversight, stopping the recruitment of new fighters, halting the development of military capabilities, and handing over full governance of Gaza to security.
Hamas is open to any idea or proposal that would achieve a comprehensive ceasefire.
