The government media office in the Gaza Strip announced on Saturday that the ongoing Israeli genocide for 700 days has resulted in nearly complete destruction, with 90 percent of the infrastructure damaged, and initial losses exceeding 68 billion dollars.
The office stated in a message published on its Telegram channel that "the Israeli occupation continues its genocide, forced displacement, and ethnic cleansing in the Gaza Strip for the 700th day amid a shameful international complicity and silence."
It added that "this war has resulted in nearly complete destruction, with 90 percent of the infrastructure damaged, and initial losses exceeding 68 billion dollars, with the occupation controlling more than 80 percent of the area of the Strip through military force and forced displacement."
It further stated that "the occupation has committed during this period bloody massacres that led to the martyrdom and loss of 73,731 individuals, including more than 20,000 children and 12,500 women, in addition to the complete extermination of 2,700 families from the civil registry."
The office continued that "the occupation has killed during this period 1,670 medical personnel, 248 journalists, 139 civil defense personnel, and 173 municipal employees, while more than 162,000 others have been injured, including thousands of amputations, paralysis, and loss of sight."
It stated that "the occupation forces are committing a systematic crime of forced displacement against our Palestinian people, especially in the city of Gaza and northern Gaza, by preventing them from returning to their homes and destroying their neighborhoods and vital facilities, in a blatant violation of the Fourth Geneva Convention and the Rome Statute, making it a war crime and a crime against humanity that requires international prosecution."
The government media office indicated that "the occupation has completely destroyed 38 hospitals, 833 mosques, and 163 educational institutions, and has severely damaged thousands of institutions."
It mentioned that "the occupation has imposed a systematic starvation policy through a comprehensive siege against the civilian population and has prevented the entry of hundreds of thousands of food and aid trucks, causing a humanitarian disaster threatening the lives of more than 2.4 million people, including over a million children who are on the brink of death from hunger."
It condemned "in the strongest terms the continuation of this criminal war," holding "the Israeli occupation and its supporting countries, led by the United States, fully responsible for these crimes."
The office called on "Arab and Islamic countries, the international community, and the United Nations to take immediate, serious, and effective action to stop the aggression against our Palestinian people, end the siege, ensure the return of the displaced, and hold the leaders of the occupation accountable before international courts as war criminals."
