"Recording and camera and fabric.. Associated Press reveals the 'lies' of the occupation regarding the massacre at Nasser Hospital."

Today, an investigation was published that refuted the claims of the Israeli occupation army regarding its bombing of Nasser Hospital in the Gaza Strip at the end of last month, which resulted in the martyrdom of 22 people, including 5 journalists.

The American agency stated that the attack raises serious questions about the motives of the occupation and the manner in which it was carried out, noting that among the martyrs was Mariam Daqa, who worked for other media agencies.

The Israeli forces targeted a location where journalists were gathering due to a camera mounted on the roof, which the occupation believed was being used by Hamas to monitor Israeli army soldiers.

An Israeli official justified the bombing by citing "suspicious behavior" and unspecified intelligence information, but the only details provided were the presence of a piece of cloth on the camera and a person next to it.

It was mentioned that the camera in question belonged to Egyptian journalist Hossam Al-Masri from Reuters, who was martyred in the first strike.

He regularly covered his equipment with a white cloth to protect it from the heat of the sun and dust.

According to witnesses, Israel was frequently monitoring the site using a drone, which gave it the opportunity to correctly identify Hossam Al-Masri.

Shortly after the first strike, the occupation targeted the same site again, after medical teams and emergency crews arrived to assist the wounded.

This attack raised accusations that it was a "double strike," a type of attack intended to kill those who are aiding the injured.

The investigation stated that the occupation army used high-explosive tank shells to target the hospital, instead of more precise guided weapons.

In total, Israel targeted the hospital four times, without warning each time.

The investigation relied on information from current and former Israeli military officials, other officials, war experts, and accounts from about 20 witnesses.

Before the attack, Hossam Al-Masri was positioned with his camera on an external staircase at Nasser Hospital.

A photo taken by Daqa in mid-August shows Al-Masri on the same staircase next to his camera, with a white cloth covering it.

In the weeks leading up to the strikes, Al-Masri was almost daily live-streaming from the staircase.

Five journalists confirmed that he often used the cloth to protect the camera from the weather elements.

Photographers have been using the external staircase of the hospital building for months to get an aerial view of Khan Younis city.

Based on an analysis of footage at the time of the attack, and by speaking with multiple eyewitnesses, it was stated that there is no evidence that anyone targeted in the strikes was armed.
