Rashwan: Egypt will not participate in the displacement of Palestinians, and it is preferable for them to return to their lands from

An Egyptian official confirmed that his country will not participate in the plan to displace Palestinians, calling on Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to open the Israeli crossings with the Gaza Strip to facilitate the return of Palestinians to their lands occupied in 1948, not for their exit from it.

This came according to what was stated by the head of the Egyptian Information Authority, Diaa Rashwan, in statements to Al Arabiya channel on Thursday evening, in response to Netanyahu's remarks about his readiness to open the Rafah crossing from the Palestinian side controlled by Israel with the aim of expelling Palestinians.

In response to a question about Netanyahu's readiness to open the crossing to receive Palestinians in Egypt and not to bring aid into the strip, Rashwan said: "Netanyahu is correct, Egypt will not allow them to leave, not only because it is an Egyptian decision but because the Palestinian people refuse to leave."
