Canada expresses its horror at the Israeli bombing that targeted a hospital in Gaza.

Canada condemned the Israeli bombing that targeted Al-Nasser Hospital in Gaza on Monday, which resulted in the martyrdom of at least 20 people, including five journalists. The Canadian Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized that "Israel is obligated to protect civilians in the combat zone."

In an official statement, Canada expressed its horror at the attack carried out by the Israeli occupation army, noting that such attacks are unacceptable. The raid targeted journalists who were doing their job in covering the events, highlighting the dangers faced by the media in conflict areas.

Among the martyrs was journalist Abu Daqa, who worked with several media outlets and was martyred while covering the events. Her last words expressed faith and hope, reflecting the courage of journalists in the face of danger.

According to the government media office, the number of martyred journalists has risen to 245 after this crime, highlighting the systematic targeting of Palestinian journalists and media personnel by the occupation army.

The International Federation of Journalists and the Arab Journalists Union called for condemnation of these systematic crimes, holding the occupation and the countries supporting it responsible for committing these violations.

The government media office urged the international community to take immediate action to stop the crimes of the occupation and protect journalists, stressing the need to prosecute the perpetrators of the occupation in international courts.

This is the second targeting of journalists in less than a month, with a previous targeting incident in August, reflecting an escalation in attacks on journalists in the Gaza Strip.

Since the beginning of the aggression on Gaza on October 7, 2023, the Israeli occupation army has committed massacres against civilians, resulting in the martyrdom of more than 62,000 Palestinians, with increasing numbers of injured and missing persons.
