Ankara confirms that Israel's impunity has encouraged it to starve Gaza.

The Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that the impunity of the occupation for the war crimes it has committed and its violations of international law is what has encouraged the starvation of the besieged Gaza Strip. This was stated in a statement issued by the ministry, which referred to the 'Integrated Food Security Phase Classification' report supported by the United Nations.

The statement clarified that the report revealed the extent of the humanitarian disaster resulting from the genocidal policies pursued by the occupying government, noting that these policies have exacerbated the humanitarian situation in Gaza.

The Turkish Foreign Ministry also affirmed that achieving a permanent ceasefire in Gaza, ensuring that those responsible are brought before international courts, and keeping humanitarian corridors open are among the simplest duties imposed by international law.

The report released on Friday confirmed that famine in the Gaza Governorate has been established, with expectations of its extension to the Deir al-Balah and Khan Younis Governorates by the end of next September.

In a swift reaction, the occupying state attacked the report, claiming that it was based on phone testimonies, despite relying on reliable data and facts.

The starvation crisis in Gaza has worsened, with the death toll from malnutrition rising to 281 martyrs since October 2023, including 114 children, according to health ministry statistics.

Since March 2, the occupation has closed all crossings leading to Gaza, preventing any humanitarian aid, resulting in a state of famine despite relief trucks piling up at the border.

The crimes of the occupation have continued since October 7, 2023, including genocide, killing, starvation, and destruction, ignoring international calls and orders from the International Court of Justice.

The Israeli genocide has left more than 62,000 martyrs and 157,000 injured, most of whom are children and women, in addition to more than 9,000 missing and hundreds of thousands displaced.
