Palestine demands that countries link their relations with Israel to its commitment to international law.

Palestine has called on all countries of the world to link the level of their relations with the occupying state to the extent of the latter's commitment to international law and United Nations resolutions. This was stated in a statement by the Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, which emphasized the seriousness of the incursions and invasions carried out by the occupying army and the militias of Zionist settlers in the occupied West Bank.

The ministry condemned the provocative Israeli statements against Palestinians, their land, and their properties, noting that the Israeli disregard for the international consensus rejecting settlement and the annexation of the occupied West Bank is evidence of the Israeli government's indifference to international demands and appeals.

The ministry affirmed that this situation necessitates a serious collective international stand to put an end to this recklessness and to compel the occupation to comply with international law and the decisions of international legitimacy. It stressed the importance of conditioning relations with the occupying state on its commitment to these laws.

The ministry also called on countries that have not yet recognized the State of Palestine to expedite their recognition, to protect the two-state solution and before it is too late. It pointed out that several countries, including Britain, France, and Australia, intend to recognize the State of Palestine during the upcoming United Nations General Assembly meetings in September.

It is worth noting that at least 149 countries recognize the Palestinian state declared by the Palestinian leadership in exile in 1988, out of 193 member states in the international organization. This recognition comes at a time when Palestine is suffering from an escalation of Israeli aggression, where the Israeli army and settlers in the occupied West Bank have killed more than 1,015 Palestinians.

In addition, Palestinian data indicates that around 7,000 others have been injured and more than 18,500 Palestinians have been arrested. In the besieged Gaza Strip, the Israeli aggression has resulted in a large number of martyrs and injured, necessitating urgent international action to stop these violations.

The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirms that these events require the international community to take effective steps to pressure the occupying state to stop its assaults and to adhere to international law and United Nations resolutions.
