Medical sources in the Gaza Strip announced this evening that the death toll has risen to 62,064, with most of them being children and women, since the beginning of the Israeli occupation's aggression on October 7, 2023.
The same sources reported that the number of injured has increased to 156,573, while there are still a number of victims trapped under the rubble, reflecting the catastrophic situation in the region, where rescue and civil defense teams are unable to reach them.
In the past 24 hours, 60 martyrs have been recorded arriving at hospitals in the Gaza Strip, including two martyrs whose bodies were recovered, in addition to 343 injured, adding new burdens to the collapsed health system.
Since March 18, following the occupation's violation of the ceasefire agreement, the death toll has risen to 10,518, and the number of injured to 44,532, indicating a significant escalation of the aggression.
The sources also clarified that the death toll of those who were seeking a livelihood and reached hospitals in the past 24 hours amounted to 31 martyrs and 197 injured, bringing the total number of livelihood martyrs to 1,996 and injuries to 14,898.
Hospitals in the Gaza Strip recorded, in recent hours, 3 deaths due to famine and malnutrition, raising the total number to 266, including 112 children, reflecting the catastrophic impact of the aggression on civilians.
Most of the dead are children and women, and the teams are still unable to reach the victims under the rubble.
