In a new escalation by the occupation, occupation bulldozers demolished commercial structures in Hebron Governorate on Monday, claiming they were built without permits in areas classified as Area C. These areas are under full occupation control, making it difficult for Palestinians to obtain building permits.
Eyewitnesses reported that the occupation army fired tear gas canisters at citizens present in the area, resulting in several cases of suffocation that were treated on-site. This action reflects the repressive policy of the occupation towards Palestinians.
It is worth noting that the Oslo II Agreement, signed in 1995, divided the West Bank into three areas, with Area C being under full occupation control, hindering any Palestinian attempts to build or expand.
In a related context, settlers, protected by the occupation army, prevented the residents of the Bedouin area of Jorat al-Khail from returning to their lands, despite an Israeli court ruling allowing them to do so. The mayor of Sa'ir, Musa al-Froukh, confirmed that settlers assaulted Palestinian families and prevented them from returning.
Al-Froukh added that instead of implementing the court's decision, the occupation army declared the area a closed military zone and prevented residents from accessing it. This behavior reflects the complicity of the occupation with settlers against Palestinians.
In November 2024, the occupation forcibly displaced citizens from their homes due to settler assaults, but they obtained a ruling from the Israeli Supreme Court allowing their return. However, the occupation did not implement this ruling.
Figures indicate that the occupation army and settlers killed at least 1,015 Palestinians in the West Bank, including occupied Jerusalem, and injured about 7,000 others, in addition to arresting more than 18,500 Palestinians.
A report by the Palestinian Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission showed that settlers carried out 466 assaults against Palestinians and their properties last July, resulting in the death of 4 Palestinians and the forcible displacement of Bedouin families.
Since October 7, 2023, the occupation state has committed genocide in the Gaza Strip, leaving thousands of martyrs and injured, raising concerns in the international community that ignores these crimes.
The Israeli genocide in Gaza has resulted in the death of 62,004 Palestinians and the injury of 156,230 others, reflecting the scale of suffering faced by the Palestinian people under occupation.
Settlers prevented Palestinian families from returning to their homes and assaulted them physically.
